Kees was an outstanding tour guide! He provided fascinating insights into the locations we visited, the beers we sampled, and the city’s rich history. He was also attentive, kind, and had a great sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and Kees as our guide!

This tour exceeded all my expectations! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer, taking us to some of the best hidden gems in Amsterdam. Each brewery stop offered a unique selection, from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, and the history behind them was fascinating. The small group size made it intimate and fun, perfect for both seasoned beer lovers and newcomers. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic Amsterdam experience! Huw was awesome!

We were on the tour with Ashton and managed to get an amazing intertwining of learning about a beautiful and rich city, while also sampling its amazing beers! I never knew how much nuance the process of brewing entails and being able to relate said processes to beer I drink anywhere in the world is something that I think will stay with me forever. If you want an amazing night out mixed in with the beautiful story of beer brewing in the Netherlands/Amsterdam, this is a definite yes!

The Brews and Tales tour in Amsterdam was an incredible experience, especially for beer enthusiasts! Our guides, Ashton and Kees, were fantastic, leading us through four distinct bars while teaching us about the history of Dutch beer culture and the city itself. We learned so much about different types of beers—from crisp Pilsners and hoppy IPAs to rich Stouts and tangy Sours. Ashton and Cees made the tour informative, fun, and interactive, ensuring we left with both new knowledge and great memories. A must-do for anyone curious about Amsterdam's beer scene!

What a fantastic way to experience Amsterdam. We were introduced to bars that we would never have found on our own. We were taken to a bunch of great bars (including officially, the oldest bar in the city), got to try out some amazing beers, hear some fantastic stories and made some good friends. Thank you Stephan for making our trip one of the best we have ever had.

We enjoyed the tour, beers and your vibes and spirit tremendously. I was already looking forward to this and had a good feeling about it all, but it exceeded my expectations. It was awesome to have an authentic Amsterdam experience and get to know all of these places that make this city so unique. And drinking awesome beer while doing all of that!

Great tour with a fun and friendly host. We went to lovely old bars we would never have found otherwise. The beers were amazing but Rachael made it personal and special. Recommended!!

Rachael is literally the best tour guide we could have had for this experience! She’s so funny, but also knowledgeable. We had some great beers and lots of laughs. I’ll be contacting her when I come to Amsterdam again!

Hiya, I'm going to Amsterdam next January as a surprise trip for my fiance's 30th. He loves his beers (in particular sour beers) so was wondering if these are included in the line up/menus at any of the places you visit? :)

Hello Bethany, thanks for reaching out! :) And hurray to your surprise trip in January! We love our sours, too! For our regular experience, our goal is to showcase a variety of beer styles that our city and country shines in. So we do have a sour, but it's not a main course. However, we would be very happy to point you in the right direction to enjoy the best sours we have here. :) Also with the current situation,we have put our shared group experiences on hold for now. We do run private experiences and with that, there's more flexibility to tailor it to a tee and give you and your man the stuff you want! We are also going to launch a DIY beer tour e-guide soon (August is the goal!) as well ,so stay tuned. If you have any questions or if you would like a private experience for two, shoot us an email! Depends on what pubs are on the route that particular day. We met at the De Prael beer store near Armbrug. You will get the meeting point per mail a couple days in advance.

A good amount of walking is required but the actual taprooms are not far from each other. At most there is a 10-15 min walk between each. Just be aware that most of Amsterdam in general is walking or biking.

Hi there! Thank you for your question! Here's the thing - we have merged with the awesome Hungry Birds Street Food Tour Amsterdam and now we are called Thirsty Birds! Unfortunately, we do not have a thirsty birds experience on those dates (only 29th October, Saturday at 4pm). However, we do have availability for our food tours on both dates so far.
