Na het bezoek aan het depot kwam ik hier langs. Super leuk, reis terug in de tijd. Hoe een opdrachtgever toen al zo vooruitstrevend kon zijn. En huis met doordachte architectuur en techno snufjes. In elke kamer een huistelefoon en radio.. Wat mij opviel is de enorme hoeveelheid kastruimte. Denk dat rommel niet mocht

Für mich eine der Top Sehenswürdigkeiten in Rotterdam, wer sich für Architektur interessiert kommt wird begeistert sein. Eine Ikone im Bauhausstil, durchdacht bis ins Deatil, voll eingerichtet mit einer heraussragend guten Audioführung (wird in Englisch angeboten, nicht in Deutsch). man fragt sich, warum Millionäre heute nicht mehr so bauen lassen. Hingehen!

Via de audiotour leuke en interessante kennis opgedaan hoe het leven was in vervlogen tijden. Dit bezoek was een uitstekende ervaring. Een aanrader!

Wat een leuke audiotour door dit huis uit 1933. Veel informatie wat een toegevoegde waarde heeft op je tour door dit bijzondere huis. In ongeveer een uur loop je er doorheen, veel leuke details die in die tijd zeker vooruitstrevend waren.

Nach dem Institutbesuch war das Haus mit im Preis inbegriffen.Leider etwas überfüllt und was am meisten nervte, waren die audioguid's die jeder Besucher in die Hand bekommen hatte.sehr laut und störend, dazu nur auf Englisch & niederländisch.Am Eingang hat man schuhüberzieher erhalten um den Boden zu erhalten, dass fand ich gut.
Der Stiel ( man beachte schon 80 Jahre alt) war beeindruckend.
Sehr schickes modernes Haus für die damalige Zeit.

Non ho studi né particolari competenze in materia di design, ma in ogni caso grazie alle spiegazioni fornite dall'audioguida (ahimè solo in inglese) mi sono goduta la visita in questa bellissima dimora, che ha quasi un secolo di vita ma si dimostra per tanti aspetti ancora attualissima. Biglietto di ingresso non economicissimo ma ne vale la pena.

Probably the best arts experience Rotterdam has to offer, the house takes you back to the mid 30s and explores the experience of those who lived there. An example of Dutch Functionalism, it is of interest to anyone with a passing interest in architecture and design - especially those who are interested in tidy, minimal spaces.
The whole house is available to view, and you’re allowed to sit on some of the chairs as well. You’re directed through the building via an audio tour operated through scanning a handheld device at numbered check points.
My only criticism of this experience is that it doesn’t explore what average Rotterdam’ers felt towards what was an incredibly alien space in the middle of what was at the time (prior to the damage caused by WW2) a very old city.

Visiting this house was our absolute favorite attraction i Rotterdam. If you have just a remote interest in design and interior decoration this is a must see! We didn't know what to expect, but the house blew us away. The audio guide worked perfectly and took you through the history of the house, the ideas behind the design and al the little details that you would have missed without the guide. Everything here is so thought out and has its special place in the house. The short film about the restoration of the house is also worth seeing.
