Cool mall with lots of quaint, slightly pricey shops. It's very photogenic and you might find something to buy here. Worth walking through if nearby.

De Passage is the oldest still operational covered shopping arcade in the Netherlands. Beautiful architecture and is a delight to walk through.

Literally translated as The Arcade, De Passage is The Hague's version of the shopping arcades design that have mushroomed all over Europe in the 19th century during the Industrial Revolution and subsequent Belle Epoque era. With its signature glass roofs and domes over-arching colonnades of shops, this neo-Renaissance style shopping arcade can only aspire but will never be able to rival those in Milan, Brussels, Paris and London. Dating back to 1885, it is the oldest surviving shopping arcade in the Netherlands, and still beautifully preserved, thanks to the major restoration works in 2007. De Passage is located in the heart of The Hague and is connected to the pedestrianised shopping street Spuistraat, so you would definitely stumble upon this place if you're in the city centre. Lovely place to shop or simply to admire its splendid architecture.

The Passage ogranicly fits in into the neighbouring districts with older buildings. It is a relaxing place. I also finally bought a Moby-Dick book there after years of searching for the original edition.

I came across this arcade-style shopping street, the oldest still standing in the Netherlands, while strolling from the Mauritshuis.
It has a roof, so it's a good place to shelter from the rain.
It's fun even just window shopping, with stylish general stores, souvenir shops, brand shops, restaurants, and more.
It's close to the station, so it's worth stopping by.

Because we were there for a visit. Took a detour to De Passage. It was very interesting and the stores staff were very polite and helpful.

It is the oldest shopping arcade in the Netherlands, completed in 1885 in neo-Renaissance style. Shops, bars, restaurants and even a cinema are located in the large arcade, which allows you to walk dry on rainy days. The iron and glass ceiling is very beautiful.

This gallery hosts numerous prestigious brands. It is located in the city center. We enjoyed the walk in this place which reminds us a lot of the St Hubert gallery in Brussels!

The morning walk started, of course, with rain, so we got quite wet and decided to look for the first shop to buy at least t-shirts. The road took us to the Passage....wow, what a beautiful building....lots of exclusive shops, restaurants....it reminded me of Milan.

All shops closed at 6:00pm everyday except Thursdays. On Thursday the shop closes at 9:00pm. However, the cafes and restaurants are open.
