Le service était impeccable mais très cher pour la quantité reçue.

We can only recommend this place, cozy little restaurant, very refined and sought-after cuisine, exceptional dishes, very attentive, pleasant and smiling servers. In short, go there, you won't be disappointed!

Special cocktails and awesome kitchen staff.

CiPiaCe is a small place in the center of Brussels that at first glance you might mistake for an aperitif coffee bar... Instead... Surprise BEAUTIFUL surprise..!!! Italian cuisine (you'll understand the news, you'll say) instead... I'll explain
Nice environment, young intimate, not pretentious... Passionate attentive staff prepared everything under the careful direction of Mrs. Giorgia and so far so good. Then comes the menu and the first problem... what should I have? There were three of us and so one of everything, obviously! And so for the whole dinner. From appetizers to dessert... What can I say, a spectacle...!!! Food prepared with great care, fresh high quality ingredients, unusual combinations, you can see the Italian food is the result of expert research and experimentation, I'm not going to list the menu we consumed, it wouldn't be useful, because in the end we still regret not having tasted the rest too... If you want to try the experience (which is what this is about) I recommend booking in advance, the small place cannot satisfy everyone and you risk being left without a table
Finally, in addition to having consumed a spectacular dinner in terms of taste and balance, the bill was also adequate for the quality, service and friendliness of those who gave us an evening to remember.

Delicious Italian food, warm and friendly atmosphere, and gracious hosts! I could tell it has a local following, which is always a good sign when traveling. We went there a couple of times and really enjoyed it! Located in Saint-Gilles.

Brussels is a city of transplants. Where this is felt the most...where Brussels THRIVES...is in its international culinary scene.
It just so happens that we are fluent in the language of "demonstrative appreciation for wonderful cuisine". More often than not, said demonstration leads to an extended and memorable dialog with restaurant proprietors, no matter the country. Tonight was no exception.
Navigating our way to the trendy Saint-Gilles district through a determined rain shower, our umbrellas were put to work. We reached our destination, gave our exhausted umbrellas a quick shake, and entered a quaint Italian restaurant named "CiPiace". We chose to sit at the bar. Why? Because we find that doing so is the ideal way in which to take in the scene. It also provides ample and casual opportunities to strike up conversation with ownership and staff.
On this busy evening inside the establishment, Giorgia Cipiace herself was our server and she was a DELIGHT. She of the ready smile and gleeful reciprocation of our positive energy. We chatted about her Italian upbringing and her hopeful excitement for a future visit to our hometown of New York City. She brought other staff into the conversation, and for those three hours....those memorable three hours.....we felt like the center of her universe.
Our choices from the menu were delicious and the pairing of an exquisite bottle of Brunello di Montalcino was spot on.
The evening then ended with a flourish. Giorgia called over the staff and they gathered around us and the bar. She poured many digestivo shots, we all raised our glasses and let out an audible "salute!" (sa-LOO-tay), and appreciative nods and smiles were shared.
We hugged her goodnight, stepped outside, and it was as if the Gods knew the right thing to do. Looking up, we saw a clear sky and a glowing moon radiating down on the wet cobblestone. Perfetto.
Life is about moments. When we look back on this holiday, we won't remember that day's itinerary. We will remember Giorgia and her kindness.
