What a collection? Tremendous number of war vehicles, many in very well restored condition. Three buildings (one is massive) and outdoor exhibits. Definitely a must-do for military vehicle buffs.

I did review others comments before visiting, but frankly there are only 6 tanks to look at when you get here! So it did not feel worth the money that we spent. Nevertheless still cool to stand next to a Sherman! Great if we could get on top tanks/ inside tanks - but this was not allowed. There is another 'shed' but this only has AAA weapons (and only 5 in there). So a little disappointing to not see 'more' tanks.
We went into Bastogne town centre - which was nice enough and lots of tributes to US war heroes, which was very cool. Touristy so pricing is higher than average.

We visited Bastogne Baracks in Bastogne after the 101 Airborn museum. This is the best combination you can make within this subject in Bastogne. After this Bastogne War Rooms and Bastogne War museum are unnecessary!
There are many different vehicles that have been nicely restored. Just right. Not too neat, but in the right zeitgeist.

Very interesting town regarding the great battles of the Second World War (nearby there was the Battle of the Ardennes). The Basilica of Saint Remy is well worth a visit, and if you are passionate about cycling, just outside the center, there is the famous "roundabout" of the famous Liège - Bastogne - Liège. It's definitely worth a visit.
Recommendation a great dinner at Le Vagon restaurant (where you dine right inside a wagon). Curiosity that deserves.

As military vehicle enthusiasts, we had a great time here.
Don't come for a history story or lesson.

Beautiful collection of armored vehicles, military vehicles and restored artillery pieces.
A must-have for anyone who appreciates these pieces.
I was able to visit the 2 halls in their new configuration and I enjoyed it.
Sometimes a lack of perspective or lighting but I imagine this will be improved in the future.
Parking a little far away and too bad it is not possible to have a guide or audio guide.
Given the pieces that still need to be restored, the museum has in principle not finished growing.
A must-have for anyone who appreciates these pieces.

A de Meeuw unit used as a cash register, a parking lot right on the main road and a number of rusted tanks and other vehicles outside, so began our visit to the Bastogne Barracks.
But in the end it turns out not to be so bad: in the two warehouses that are open to the public you can view a large number of beautiful vehicles. I thought it was a great experience, it's just a shame that there are no vehicles that you can actually sit on or in. Each vehicle contains an information board with explanations in three languages, but it does not really come to life. We would have seen it again within 1 hour. The outside toilet unit, we won't talk about that... I don't think I'll be back.

Quite a unique place, to be discovered by enthusiasts and built by enthusiasts as well.
We visited it about 10 years ago, and it has changed a lot, now categorized as "Battle of the Bulge" and "Second World War".
It's a shame that the barracks will be razed, but the McAuliffe cellar will be preserved and transformed into a museum, and other work will bring us other halls with other vehicles!
Special weekend around mid-December, where we discover even more vehicles in motion.
We visited it about 10 years ago, and it has changed a lot, now categorized as "Battle of the Bulge" and "Second World War".

Our trip was in late 2022 when my Wife and myself toured several of the WWII related museums of Belgium. The material condition of the exhibits inside the barracks is fabulous. Most of these pieces look like they were rolling off the end of the assembly line. It multi-language in most cases - English, French, and German. This museum is HUGE which requires a lot of walking. Indoor exhibits in bad weather not a problem. The limited outdoor exhibits in bad weather will be walk-byes.

Do you like tanks and military equipment? Then this place is for you! Everything was clean and well maintained. Information is limited to a lot of technical info, but still interesting

Hi, I'm driving to Bastogne on Tuesday, June 12 with my elderly parents. Are their any private tour guides that give a 4-5 hour tour of The Battle of the Bulge and surrounding area?

I went with a guide named Henri Mingon. He was excellent, apart from his great knowledge he was a child in the area during the battle and has first hand personal accounts.
He has his own vehicle or you can use your own.
He is flexible and can tailor a tour to suit the amount of time available to you.

To tailgate off of Danieltay: ask for Henri to be your tour guide. He was born just outside of Bastogne. As a young boy, he witnessed the battle raging from afar.
