The Ramparts museum was sold to a WW1 collector in UK and will hopefully open in Staffordshire,UK this year. Most of the museum is the Ramparts but with some new fantastic exhibits. The new owner is hoping to raise funds for military charities.

This museum is no longer there. It was sold about four years ago and is now in Doncaster I understand. It was a wonderful museum.

It would have been nice if the actual museum was there, but apparently it hasn't been at the spot for some time now. There is, however a pub!!!! Have a drink and enjoy!!!!

Dit was (sic) inderdaad een klein maar zeer evocatief museumpje waar men echt een goed inzicht kreeg in het leven aan het WOI-front (loopgraven, ziekenverzorging, enz...) maar sedert meer dan 1 jaar is dit museum verhuist naar een verzamelaar in Engeland (namelijk bij het overlaten van het aanpalend café). Dus : Te Laat! voor wie het nog wilde bezoeken.

I visited this small museum once maybe 6-7 years ago and was very nice and well maintained. Too bad it has been closed and its collection sold to other musea.

Jammer genoeg bestaat dit museum niet meer ,een absolute topper ,ook de pionier in de streek om via levensechte diorama s te werken en ook eindelijk eens de belgische soldaten in de verf gezet.helaas al enige tijd gestopt 😣

Sadly the museum is closed, exhibits sold to other museums. It was, in my opinion, one of the best little museums in the Ypres Salient. Sad that is has gone.

In July/August 2017 we visited the Ramparts Museum and Bar on three separate occasions, but it was closed on each occasion. We visited it years ago and found it had a good Museum and good food.
It would help if the opening hours were displayed outside.
