An amazing place. A good museum. There's still a lot to dig out of that which was a city with thousands of inhabitants. It ⁇ needs a lot of support for the great work that remains to be done. After all, it seems to have been much larger than Conímbriga.

A very interesting excavation. This Roman site is still being uncovered and is very much a work in progress. However it was possible to get a good idea of the size of the original settlement.It would be helpful if more of the story boards/ explanations had English translations so that we could have learnt more and understood more.They have some interesting exhibits in the attached museum.

Interesting museum with pieces in very good condition. On the ground, some structures are already exposed but there is still a lot to explore. There will certainly be even more reasons for interest in the future. The reception, in addition to being very friendly, is also very knowledgeable about the history of the place. All this at a very low cost (€3). I recommend!

3 euro admission. Museum artefacts were all in Portugese, but film was in English. Site a bit underwhelming, but they have active digging going on

Still very early in what is expected to be a major tourist attraction, it is already impressive with what exists. The museum is built on top of the old city, and has many discovered pieces on display. On the outside. although the excavations are not finished, the entrance, forum and baths have already been discovered.

The visit to Ammaia is worth it, not exactly for the ruins because little is visible, but for what is known to exist and for the site's museum

Un museo con circa 6/7 piccole sale, ma che contengono dei resti di pregio e soprattutto una collezione di piatti e vasellame di vetro veramente eccezionale e ben conservata. Il personale all'accoglienza è molto gentile e preparato e parla un ottimo inglese. Unico miglioramento: bene il filmato in inglese introduttivo, ma le descrizioni nelle sale sono solo in portoghese. La zona archeologica è solo una piccola percentuale di quanto ancora ci sarebbe da scoprire. Vale il viaggio!

Una auténtica decepción (y soy arqueóloga). Todo totalmente descuidado, hierbas altísimas, caminos apenas transitables. Para ver lo poquísimo que han excavado de foro tienes que salir por una portichuela y atravesar una carretera para entrar por otra portichuela medio caida.
En los paneles hacen reconstrucciones de fantasía, ya que no terminan de reconocerse en los restos que quedan.
Lo único que merece la pena es la zona de la puerta de acceso del recinto amurallado.
