A group of 4 girlfriends, we booked a 2 day/1 night charter - and we loved every minute. The captain/crew were fantastic. The births (bedrooms) so comfortable. We got to see the coastline, caves, stop in a small town for a great dinner, swimming, paddle boarding. A highlight of our 2-week Portugal holiday.

Excellent full day private catamaran charter with Skipper Renaldo and Hostess Holly. Superb service from start to finish - attentive, comfortable, professional. Catered lunch and snacks were weak prepared and presented and very tasty. Absolutely super day and great way to get a good feel for the natural beauty that is the hallmark of this region . We were a group of only four and the trip could be equally comfortable for up to 3 times as many aboard!

Our two families stayed two nights on the catamaran with Captain Andre. The experience was awesome as the boat allowed us to see the amazing Algarve coast from the “other” direction. It is beautiful walking along the cliffs, but seeing it from the water and paddle boarding and checking out the beaches from the ocean was spectacular. Andre was phenomenal! Friendly smart guy full of great stories and knowledgeable about the area and its history. Can’t say enough good things.

An unforgettable experience but one to repeat. Spectacular boats for all types of tastes and situations. Wonderful views. Owners Filipe and André are super friendly.

Great charter service! Philip and team provided great experience in a beautiful setting. Everything was easy - booking to finding them to the trip itself. Highly recommend.

We rented the Catamaran for a full day to celebrate my Aunts 70th birthday! We hired their partner Algarve Party Planner and she had the boat fully decorated as a surprise! We also had a cake and their catering service which was delicious and well worth it! Our skipper Andrew was very friendly and explained where we were while cruising along the coastline. There was 10 of us and it was so spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend Portiate for any day trip you take in the Algarve! I can't wait to try the motorboat next time!! Thanks guys!!

We had an amazing time yesterday, we were pampered from start to finish. 9 of us in total and the drinks never stopped flowing, fully recommend upgrading to premium catering, we thought there wouldn’t be enough but there’s was plenty of left overs! We booked a half day catamaran with a sunset extension and it was worth every penny. Book Book Book

This is the 2nd time that we have had the pleasure of sailing with the Portiate Charters team in Portimão! They are friendly, competent, warm and serious. We sailed all day until sunset: wonderful experience ❤️. Obrigada a Portiate 🇵🇹❤️and Cap'tain André 🇧🇷❤️and the charming Carolina of course O meu muito obrigada a todos🙏🙏🙏

Hello - are the waters calm enough for a catamaran cruise? I'm concerned about sea sickness vs a yacht. Would prefer a catamaran though.

Hi there,
The waters here are calm for both catamarans and monohulls. The wind usually blows from Northwest creating a steady breeze, great for sailing. Because we have high cliffs, the sea is quite calm near the coast for any kind of yacht. Catamarans are simply that much more spacious, making the trip a bit better for sun bathing and serving our 3 course catering service with drinks. The catering service is an extra cost.
