Valeu a pena , aproveitamos ver o show dos golfinhos (11 hrs e 14:30 ) fomos numa quinta feira e foi tranquilo,paguei 29€ para a entrada, a minha filha de 1 ano foi grátis . C calma da para ver todos os animais,não conseguimos achar os leões,mas vimos tudo o resto que estava no mapa indicativo.e tem tb a quinta do Lidl que os pequenos adoram .

Visit done in the afternoon, but paying the (exaggerated) price of 29 euros, of course nobody thought of reducing the value of the entrance for those who enter after 14:00! Logically, it was not possible to visit all the animals in so little time. We just missed the dolphin show for lack of information. As mentioned earlier the cable car did not work and (almost) never works, but is included in the price of the entrance! The worst thing was to see the (huge) amount of JUSTICE throughout the park, it seems that nobody is concerned about the matter! The animal compartments were also pretty dirty. I only hope to have contributed to the feeding of the four-legged animals, and not to the feeding of the two-legged animals who do not struggle to keep the space minimally clean.

It's a big zoo best seen on a sunny warm day. Extremely popular with families. Located at a Metro stop in a busy part of town. Some good animal exhibits and place to picnic.

We went to the zoo despite changeable weather and did not regret the visit. It is in my opinion a very good value for money. For 76 EUR ( 2 adults plus child) we could visit the zoo, see the dolphin show there, take the gondola lift over the enclosures in the zoo itself and see the bird show. The train through the zoo was unfortunately out of operation that day, but was not a problem. Because the zoo can be run great even with smaller children. There are many different animal species : Lions , tigers, elephants, koalas, rhinoceros, hippo, zebra, giraffe, reptiles, birds, cheetah , many different monkey species, .... The enclosures were partly really small, but very clean and very well maintained. Thus, the zoo was not so huge in terms of area and still showed so many animals.
The only drawback for us was that the open restaurants were behind the exit of the zoo, possibly it was due to the weather that only ice cream stands and beverage stands were open in the zoo.
Conclusion:
It was a beautiful day with many unforgettable impressions. We will definitely come back.

Awful, awful, an experience to never repeat. Slim, sick-looking animals, many of them alone. I don't like these kinds of sites and we went just because we had a birthday party. But it's to come out in tears. Sorry.

I recommend going early, so you can spend the day without rushing and see everything carefully and calmly. Shoes and clothing comfortable, and have a willingness to walk a lot.
The day we went, the cable car didn't work (as announced due to insecurity caused by the winds), the train didn't work. The part of the reptiles seemed to me less careful and appealing, and the garden and farm could have more animals, in this matter we have parks with more variety.
There are animals in the zoo that seem to have little space, like the case of the siamango, but being not Expert, in general all the animals were apparently well cared for and fed, with a careful space.
It's worth the day, it's one of those places where you have to go at least once in your life.

The best zoo I have ever visited. The dolphins show was great and the animals seemed to be happy and feel comfortable in this place.

After 10 years of last visit, I went back to the zoo to celebrate the birthday of a child from our family.
We started the day with the dolphin show... we loved it! It's slightly different, but it's still a success.
The day was, pleasantly, very well spent in family, with visits to different species and the ride on the train.
I recommend visiting our zoo!

It's not very big so you can enjoy it calmly. Shows are large spaces so you don't need to queue to get in. Arriving a few minutes early you take place without problem. The train and chairlift gives you a glimpse of the zoo and then go to the details

I'm a huge fan of Bongos (the animal) and it has forever been my dream to have an up-close and personal encounter with them (behind the scenes if you will) and I was wondering if anything like that is available at Lisbon Zoo? The closest thing I could find on their website was the 'Wild Saturdays' tour with a zoo keeper, but it didn't mention if Bongos were included!
