Unfortunately for a matter of time we could not make the visit, only the tasting - which was very good. All the wines we took were good and, mostly, well explained by the representative who served us, even outside the schedule.

Excellent tour, wine & tapas. Guide very passionate & knowledgeable on her topic; tour including, history of business, area, tour of museum & winery. Definitely worth a visit.

Sem dúvida um excelente vinho, para quem é apreciador vai ter uma ótima degustação. Super convidativo, ótimo ambiente, boa forma de conhececer a história local e uma boa apresentação desta família empreendedora. A guia Mafalda foi top na explicação e no tour.

Many winery visits are quite similar, but that is definitely not the case at Manzwine.
Raul gave us a wonderful tour, including the fascinating story of how the winery came to be, the discovery of the thought-to-be-extinct Jampal grape, and how the winery has renovated some of the older buildings in the picturesque town of Cheleiros (outside Lisbon), and incorporated them in the winery complex.
The newly rejuvenated Jampal is now rated as one of Portugal's best wines!
In addition to the Jampal, of which there is also a sparkling version, Manzwine also has quite a wide range of white, red, and rosé wines, made using locally grown grapes as well as grapes from other wine regions in Portugal. The varied styles of the wines gives Manzwine a portfolio with something for nearly every taste.
A visit to Manzwine is highly recommended.

Para gastar um pack de oferta que estava a acabar o prazo, fui fazer uma prova de 6 vinhos e ficar a conhecer a empresa Manzwine. Que adorável surpresa, adorei a historia, o que foi feito (museu, recuperação da antiga escola, adorei os vinhos, Cheleiros é um sitio pacato mas cheio de recantos para conhecer, recomendo vivamente a virem conhecer esta empresa que prima pelos seus valores na dinamização de uma aldeia/região. Não podia deixar de referir a guia (não me lembro o nome) de uma simpatia e profissionalismo exemplar.

Ótima degustação de vinhos após a visita guiada que mostra as transformações que a ManzWine fez com Cheleiros. É uma incrível história de valorização das tradições daquele sítio!

I had discovered the Jampal the day before so decided to drive to Cheleiros.
Excellent reception from Sonia who briefed me passionately while giving me the tour of the facilities 🤗 and got me to taste a few wines.
All were good, except possibly for the red Platónico (their entry wine) and some were excellent.
Excellent, but where prices are concerned, you get lower prices in Burgundy (where I am from) for the same level of quality. 14.50€ for the Jampal for instance (count 13€ in Burgundy) and 80€ for their best red, which was superb.
In my mind, Portugal was associated with good wines at amazingly good prices.

I will just tell you how we managed to get there. We rent a car, stayed close and visited all we could in 25 miles range which included Cheleiros and Manzwine. Mafra is a must see for sure.
