Booked via internet and on requested email acknowledgement I asked if it was possible to take my mobility scooter.
No response but Lucy the driver/ guide, had no hesitation in taking me back to hotel to pick up said scooter.
The tour was very informative and Lucy had a great sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble and willingly stopped to point out various items of flora and fauna, as well as describing the history of the locality as well as the Island of Madeira.
Highly recommended, particularly being a small party in a mini coach.

We took 2 tours with this agency and it was incredible. We did the West one with Mr Tony and the East one with Mr Carlos. We loved both experiences, super friendly, stopping at important points on the island and offering tips or something interesting to say. If you want to have a good time and learn more about the island, I highly recommend Secret Madeira 😊

Lucy was a fantastic guide, taking us to some absolutely beautiful and fun places to experience the island of Madeira in all its glory! Every day was filled with fun and excitement; from the Sledge rides (monte toboggan wicker sleds down slick streets) to the beautiful and exciting steep gondola Funchal Cable Car to the beautiful garden below. We had such a great three days with Lucy at the wheel that I would not only recommend her tours, but will definitely go back again. Thank you Lucy! Brian and I loved every minute we were with you.

Disappointing experience with an organization that was just as disappointing: upstream, the service provider had lost track of the payment made and then had to be contacted the day before since it had not given any news.
Subsequently, the service was disappointing and the organization random with a program which was not respected and real difficulties in communication with the agency which tried to obtain payment for the following days even before the end of the period. the 1st day, yet fully paid.
All for a high price, at a level well above anything we've seen elsewhere.
This service provider is clearly not in the image and level of all the others encountered on the island of Madeira. Go your way.

The Nun's Valley tour with a visit to Monte and the Tobbogan with the tour company "secret Madeira Lda" was very mediocre. No communication about pick-up time even though it was promised. Driver Carlos was okay but didn't say much. A number of promised activities were not carried out.
The tour itself is fun with beautiful nature and the Tobbogan was also fun, but everything depends on good communication. They knew that the museum was closed due to a leak. It would have been nice if they had indicated that. The church in Monte was skipped and the reason was unclear. The lady who did the tour with Germans and who we regularly encountered was very unfriendly and waved everything away when I asked why... in short, price / quality was not in balance.

We had a fabulous tour of the middle of Madeira. Carlos our driver and guide picked us up promptly from our hotel, then straight up
To Monte for a toboggan ride which is a must do.
From there we climbed the winding roads to a fantastic viewing point looking down on the Nun Valley, Carlos allowed us plenty of time for the walk to the viewing platform and time for a coffee. He then drove us down to the Nun Valley, where we enjoyed samples of the various liquors. Throughout the drive he was informative and extremely helpful. Can recommend this

Today I explored the east of the island with tour guide Toni and a nice international group. I'm really impressed - even compared to two other tours with different tour operators, this tour comes out on top in terms of the information provided by the tour guide, the condition of the vehicle and the mix of free time (e.g. on a hike) and the destinations visited, and all at the best price! It's a shame that I only came across Secret Madeira at the end of my vacation...
I would like to make one suggestion, though: Maybe it would be better to stay a little longer in Ribeiro Frio and eat trout instead of having a later lunch in Santana, where unfortunately there isn't that much to see and do?!

We travelled as a family with two young kids (one toddler). Lucy was our guide on both days. She is so caring and made arrangements to bring different child seats so we had a choice for the kids.
She fully explained the history and tailored the tour to our family's requirement. Her knowledge and experience was superb and she took us to some wonderful places and gave us many handy tips. We managed to cover most of the island and her driving was fantastic.
We fully recommend that you book with Lucy and her company.

amazing. perfect. Lisa and Tony were great guides. everything worked perfectly as expected. timely knowledgeable. they knew the best spots, planned a great trip showed us the best parts of madeira. great cars. spacious, price was right ! really highly recommended. great communication 24/7.
