To learn about another culture from a local is an enriching experience. Pedro shares Portugal in his own unique way, through food and stories. We had rich conversation and learned about our culture influenced Portuguese history. With every stop, we experienced Portugal through Pedro's excitement about sharing his culture. We would definitely spend another day with Pedro.

The reason we chose this tour was because it included a visit to the Mateus Palace which was at the top of my list of things to see while staying in Porto. The rest of the tour sounded good but went way above and beyond any expectations we had. Although it felt like I randomly booked this tour, I think it was divine intervention that led us to enjoy this unforgettable day!
We assumed a "small group" meant we would be with about 12 or so other people but we were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was space for only one other couple and they ended up cancelling so we has an all day private tour with our delightful tour guide, Pedro!
Pedro was friendly and easy to talk to. He was well organized and took care of all the details. He had a vast knowledge of information but didn't overwhelm us with a lot of history and was able to describe it in an interesting and humorous way. Pedro also had an incredible knack for avoiding the crowds. We arrived at each stop either just before or just after the big bus loads of people.
From our first stop of coffee and pastries to our last stop - sipping a port inspired drink while overlooking the breath taking landscape at sunset, and all the beautiful and delicious stops in between. It was a wonderful experience and one we will always remember with fond memories and photos! Thank you Pedro for making our first trip to Porto a memorable one! 💕 "Dios te Bendigo..."

I cannot say enough good things about our full day tour with Pedro in the Douro Valley! It turned out that my husband and I were the only people on the tour that day, so we got a very personalized experience. Here are some of the many positive things I can say about Pedro: he is super knowledgeable and clearly very proud of his northern Portuguese heritage. We not only learned a lot about port wine production, but also many things about the history of this wonderful country.
We never felt rushed (despite my constantly stopping to take pictures), and there was plenty of down time during the day. Pedro has a fabulous, comfortable Mercedes Van. He’s a great driver. The lunch meal he arranged for us was delicious and plentiful! We got to taste two different port wines as well as white and red table wines.
We appreciated that he respected some of the food restrictions we had told him about.
My husband and I have travelled quite a bit in our lives, and we both felt that the Douro Valley was one of the most beautiful places we had ever been to. I know that our experience there was greatly enhanced by spending the day with Pedro.

Pedro was so wonderful and this trip exceeded our expectations. We are traveling with our 3/6 year olds which can be difficult, especially with long drives, wine tasting and vineyards. He was so kind to the kids and thought of every detail (kids music in the car, tons of snacks, little gift for them). The Duoro River cruise was beautiful, lunch was delicious and the port tasting was in one of the most beautiful locations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Pedro for your next trip to the area!

What a beautiful day we had! The weather was uncertain and a little cold but we could make all the stops without rain. And they were many stops all interesting with many explanations from Pedro who knows a lot. From Amarante and the visit of the center with a stop at a café to the visit at the palace of Mateus, what a beautiful place, along with a wine degustation of their own production, to the stop for lunch in a little village with a delicious meal with wine (a lot!) to a tour boat on the Douro, we had a marvelous experience. Of all the tours proposed for the Douro valley, I find myself so lucky to have picked the tour with Pedro! It’s a long day although very smooth (the wine helps!) but at the end you will understand better Porto wine industry and Potuguese culture. Thank you very very much Pedro for this wonderful experience.

Our tour with Pedro was wonderful. He was prompt, courteous, and charismatic. He was very knowledgeable, a longtime local with abundant facts and history to share about Portugal and all the places we visited. The views of the Douro Valley were stunning along the way. We had an excellent lunch and our fill of various wines and ports throughout the tour. The boat tour was a nice end to the day before driving back to Porto. The van was also spacious and comfortable. Can't say enough good things about the tour - would definitely recommend!

I highly recommend Pedro to guide you through an AMAZING day in the Duoro Valley. What sets him apart is that he genuinely cares about his clients. He has encyclopedic knowledge of wine and the Duoro Valley and will customize the tour to meet your particular needs and desires. And most important, he is extremely likeable and a joy to spend the day with!

We took the NOW Wine Fest Tour - Vinho Verde, Douro White and Red, Favaios & Port. Pedro was a friendly and very knowledgeable guide and a pleasure to spend the day with. The day was very well organized, and everything was included in the tour package cost as he had outlined.
