Hugo's watercolor class was so much fun! He clearly puts a lot of thought into making it a good experience for his students, regardless of their skill level. It's a small class, so you get as much feedback as you want. The two hours flew by, and we ended up staying overtime because no one noticed the time. Hugo never made us feel rushed and was very gracious about working overtime! Everyone in the class left satisfied with their painting. Very highly recommend!

I wandered into Hugo's studio just to look at his beautiful paintings. I asked if I could go to the basement to look at the paintings down there and he explained he does watercolor classes. I was only in Porto for one more day so he was able to squeeze me into his class the next morning. I cancelled my other planned tour to attend and I am so glad I did. It was an incredible experience. As someone who already paints watercolor I learned a lot of new techniques and had a very fun, fulfilling and relaxing morning. I felt like I left so much lighter than I came. This experience he has created is truly special and unlike anything I have done before. He is an incredible teacher and artist and I'm so grateful to have gotten to share in his passion and be in his presence for a few hours.

Hugo's watercolour class was such a calm and lovely experience. I was amazed at how fast the time flew by as I was so immersed in the process! Hugo is such a kind and patient teacher and it was really a pleasure to visit his studio.
Everything was ready for us when we arrived. The drawing was already sketched out on the paper so we could start painting, and it's very clear that a lot of time and care goes into each one of his classes.
I highly recommend Hugo's watercolour class to anyone visiting Porto! I've visited many times and this was certainly a highlight :)

This was one of my top highlights in Porto! Hugo does an excellent job of creating a relaxing and fun environment. He’s an awesome teacher for beginners and not only has a ton of knowledge about painting but also about the city itself. This is an awesome authentic experience for a great value! Will be coming back here my next time in Porto!

Hugo's painting experience was amazing! He was an excellent teacher, fantastic host, with a genuine interest in learning about us and sharing local favorites! It was as 1st water color painting experience for 5/6 of us and he made it seem so easy and effortless. The best tour I have done hands down in Europe! We all came home with an amazing personalized painting as well!

It was an wonderful experience... the time flew by while we learned from Hugo how to paint a beautiful scene from Porto. Perfect for relaxed day alone, with friends or family.

Hugo is an amazing, friendly and very patient teacher, I had the best time, I highly recommend it, one of the highlights of my trip to Porto. I'm incredibly happy with both how the painting turned out and with the process of getting there.

This was my favorite part of visiting Porto. Hugo’s studio is so welcoming, and Hugo is so warm and inviting! He is very slow in showing the techniques and colors to be used, and my friend, who said she has no painting talent, had a better painting than I did. Hugo adapts to any age painter, and the final product is a beauty to behold. The music he plays adds to the vibe, and he has numerous gorgeous one of a kind paintings to purchase and take home. I am so excited to get my picture that Hugo did framed and hung in my house. Be sure to check out this amazing experience to have Porto come alive.

Wonderful experience! Everything was ready and in place when I arrived. Hugo was a considerate, friendly and informative teacher. Definitely an excellent, memorable experience!
