Review regarding Hot Five Caffé
We went for lunch 4/16/24
The service was not good, the lunch was very good… they should review their welcoming attitude and speech. On this day there was a very friendly lady serving the interior, but we were not rewarded for her service, the colleague was the opposite.
I started by saying good afternoon and asking if there was anything you wanted to suggest… “I don’t have anything to suggest, it’s just what’s there” (in the letter)
The lunch + sandwich menu options were tuna or salmon (2 fish), as we didn't eat one or the other we asked if they could switch to chicken. We received a round and rude no. We just politely asked one question…
When it was time to order coffee at 1:30 pm, I got up from the terrace and went inside to order, as the lady never came again, then I realized that she was on a lunch break, sitting at the counter eating her soup.
Service is very important, and it can make a customer not come back!
The spot is beautiful on a beautiful sunny day too.
Delicious lemonade!

I'll give the benefit of the doubt and come back...

Great blues live music played by local artists. Awesome atmosphere/decor. 10€ is a good price. Would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed it, it was a very good part of the night. I went with my wife and my daughter, the house was full, the band had 12/13 members, lots of brass like saxophones and trumpets, piano and cello and had an extraordinary vocalist. The service was good, the atmosphere was good. Affordable prices. I liked.

Yesterday was the second time that i've sent clients to this club, and although was announced a live jazz band, there was no band at all.
Clients paid tickets for simply nothing.
This is not the first time this has happened.
Never more.

Excelente club de jazz y blues. La entrada cuesta 10€ y te abre las puertas a un mundo de buena música en vivo y excelente ambiente. El sitio es súper acogedor, iluminado con luces tenues y que invita a pasar una velada muy memorable. Los asientos están ubicados de costado, punto original, dado que todos tienen una vista abierta al escenario.
En el sitio te sirven comida (pizzas, tablas de quesos y alguna otra cosa) y tiene una extensa carta de vinos y cócteles.
La atención es muy buena desde la recepción y hasta que te vas.
100% recomendado si estás en Oporto y te gusta el jazz y el blues.

Sala bem decorada e muito confortável. Atendimento muito simpático e preços muito razoáveis para o que oferece.
Música boa, muitas vezes visitei nunca vim desiludido.

Todas as vezes que lá fui foram fabulosas.
Fui espectáculos com os Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Minneman, blues, eu sei lá um grande número.
Aconselho a irem porque não se vão desiludir.

The cover fee is €5, but you don't pay until you leave. You get a drinks card, upon which the bar staff write the drinks that you order. At the end of the night, you pay for your drinks plus the €5 cover fee. You then show the paid-up card to the doorman to exit.

This is not the best way to reach the owners of the business - this is a forum for travellers to respond.
I've just checked the website for Hot Five and the next event is shown as Wednesday 30th (so nothing tonight). I'm not allowed to post a link here, so google Hot Five Jazz and Blues Club to locate the club's website for reservations.
