I've been to the Acropolis twice, but it was the first time I went to this mountain. It is easily accessible, has a few, not too many stairs and a wonderful view of the Acropolis, Athens and sunset. Don't miss it, it's fantastic. And there are seats to rest on the way. Careful not to slip with on the marble floor

Seeing this monument was well worth the short hike to the top of the hill. Not only do you see the monument itself, but you also get stunning views of the Acropolis, probably some of the best in Athens. The hike itself was a lot shorter and less of an incline than I expected and it is completely free to visit.

The views are breathtaking, but be prepared for a considerable amount of walking. Additionally, the location is in close proximity to the historic Prison of Socrates.

Philopappo's monument stands on top of a hill in Athens. You get there by a gentle climb, close to the Acropolis, from where you have a spectacular view of the entire city. It's worth the visit!

The Philopappos Monument is an ancient mausoleum located on the hill of the same name. The beautiful monument, built in marble, dates back to the 2nd century, so it is well preserved considering the date.

One of the few remaining forests in the area. The monument at the top of the hill is the reason for the walk and for the unobstructed view of the whole city.

The Philopappos Monument is dedicated to Gaius Julius Antiochus Epiphanes Philopappos
This is located on top of Philopappou Hill.
It’s is quite easy to reach, but you will need to do a small hike.
You will have a nice view on the Acropolis from there.

der Musenhügel mit seinem Monument ist auf jeden Fall ein besuch wert. man hat immer einen tollen Blick auf Athen bis nach Piräus und natürlich die Akropolis und wenn man Glück hat trifft man auf die Bewohner des Hügels <3

The monument, dating to the 2nd century AD, has been quite damaged over the centuries, but the most impressive thing about it is its location at the top of Philopappou Hill, which offers amazing views of Athens and the Acropolis, especially in the late afternoon. The hill is crisscrossed by walking paths and is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Athens.

Outstanding views with lots of historical sites dotted about, this is well worth the visit. Despite being quite high up, the walk to actually get to the moment isn’t too bad and was quite quick !
