On our recent cruise in the Aegean, we hired private guides in 6 cities. I am sorry to say that our tour of Mykonos through Greek Travelling was - by far - the most expensive and least satisfying tour. Our guide, though a friendly person and careful driver, spoke little English, to the point where he often did not understand our questions. He seemed to have very little knowledge of Mykonos, failing even to be able to identify the island of Delos (which we had visited on a previous trip). We did not drive to any point where Mykonos' famous windmills could be viewed, and no suggestion was made of stopping at a traditional taverna or coffee house, which the company specifically mentioned in our email exchanges. The only memorable parts of the five-hour tour were our visit to the monastery of Panagia Tourliani and its attendant museum, and a stop for coffee in a very contemporary restaurant which however had a lovely view of the ocean. Based on our experience in Mykonos, we would not recommend this company.

Our tour was excellent! The tour guide was very informative and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and all of the historical background she provided. The driver was also pleasant and informative. It was a great day and we would highly recommend Greek Travelling!

Our Olympia Project tour was fantastic. I was nervous booking a tour outside of a cruise 'shore excursion' but needn't have worried - the communication prior to the tour was excellent. On the day, our guide Aggeliki met us at the port just outside the ship, she was very friendly and knowledgable explaining things both on the bus and at the site. The actual site is not to be missed - so much history! Lunch was also great - traditional greek lunch and even shots of Ouzo! Highly recommend this small group tour.

This tour was fabulous. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Her English was excellent. She also gave us time to really look around Olympia, take photos, and ask questions. She successfully kept our group together (not an easy task) and engaged.
Lunch was delicious and the restaurant was staff were lovely (not sure how I feel about your super strong Greek coffee- clearly an acquired taste- LOL.
This tour was one of the highlights of my experiences in Greece.

We visited Santorini and Athens and toured both locations with guides from Greek Traveling.
On Santorini our guide, Nick, was great. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and gave us a great tour of the island. Not only did he tailor our excursion to accommodate all of our requests, he allowed us time to shop in Oia before heading back to the ship.
In Athens, our guide, Artemis, was excellent. She made sure we got to all of the sites that er wanted to visit and arranged our tours in such a way that we were able to avoid long lines. She, too, was very knowledgeable and friendly.
If traveling to Greece, we recommend that you consider Greek Traveling, and these two guides in particular, for your excursions.

The personal touch! We had a wonderful time with Theodora as our guide. Very knowledgeable and knew the right time to avoid the crowds. Thank you and Greek Traveling, Christos, for putting this together for us. This was a delayed trip for 2 years because of covid, but well worth the wait! Hope to see you all on a return trip.

A wonderful end to our time in Athens! This evening tour to Sounion was just what we wanted-freedom and conversation while we took in the scenery, the history, and the food of the seaside. Christos was personable, a good driver, and had lots of good information about the areas we were seeing, as well as Greek life and culture.

I just wanted to say we had a great time with Achim on our 2.5 hour walking tour of Mykonos!
He was on time and an awesome guide with a true understanding of the island.
He took us to the less crowded places and he shared great local knowledge.

Our group did 2 tours with Greek Traveling, in Santorini and Mykonos. Both were excellent! The guides Elena and Sarah were personable and knowledgeable. Everything went smoothly. Transportation was clean, safe and comfortable. Christos was a great communicator and made planning everything easy. I would definitely recommend.

We wanted a stress-free, comfortable, small group guided experience to experience the highlights of Athens, as a shore excursion, and GT and guide, Vickie, delivered! Our guide and driver were right on time, and our vehicle was luxurious and comfortable w A/C. Some highlights were from the vehicle but the big ones we saw up close and personal. Vickie was an amazing guide all day, (with the help of whisperers) but especially at the phenomenal Acropolis Museum! She was able to explain the amazing architectural design, name ALL the gods, tell us so many great stories about them and Athenian history, and about all the Acropolis buildings in a detailed and engaging manner, so we could know what we were seeing then when we visited those buildings just a short time afterwards. It was a real highlight for me, drinking it all in. She kept us going at a reasonable pace, (there was a good amount of walking involved, steps, and uneven ground) pointed us to bathrooms, and gave us plenty of time to explore on Acropolis Hill and get great pictures. Lunch outside at a local hillside shaded Greek restaurant, was an amazing experience, so close to the archeological sites, and with a gracious host. The meal was several courses, delicious, and in large portions. Christos was also great ahead of time, answering my every question, and helping us get credit for a tour we originally scheduled two years prior in 2020. The 8 hr. tour time also seemed just the right amount to do Athens justice for a first visit. Vickie and our driver went out of their way to help some of the group who needed luggage held aboard during the day, and a drop off near their hotel, before returning the rest of us to our ship in plenty of time. Talk to Christos ahead of time, if you are needing something similar. Note: Extra fees required for Acropolis Hill and Acropolis Museum. Bring water!

Yes. I see reviews for Greek Traveling for Santorini and Athens but I am also interested in reviews particularly guide recommendations for Greek Traveling in relation to MyKonos/Delos as well. Thank you.

Our group contacted Christos at Greek Travelling and he planned an amazing 3 days for us in the Athens area. Our guide, Eva, was passionate, knowledgeable and so much fun. We went to the Acropolis, Sounion, Archeological Museum, Delphi and her dinner recommendations were outstanding. They can accommodate any size party. We happened to have a group of 18 and all unanimously agreed that Greek Travelling was the very best of any touring company we have used in the past.
