Our hostess was delightful and funny! She shared Greece's wine history and patiently answered our questions as we learned how to choose and rate wines. I recommend this wine tasting to everyone!

Great wine appreciation opportunity while in Athens. The host was incredibly knowledgeable and introduced us to wine grapes we didn't even knew existed.

We had a great experience with our wine instructor, Foteini. She was very knowledgeable and took her time explaining things into detail when we did not understand. She is wonderful!

Absolutely an amazing experience!! Our host was very knowledgeable in everything wine including history as well as tasting!! She was very kind and patient with all of us. Every wine we tasted was delicious and the pairings were perfect!! I truly recommend everyone and anyone take the time to visit Athens Wine Tasting!!

My partner and I booked a wine tasting session online for 6pm on a Tuesday. We were the only guests, which made us a little apprehensive. It turns out we wouldn’t have had it any other way, as we had our wonderful sommelier Foteini all to ourselves.
We are very new to wine tasting, which Foteini sensed straight away. She adapted our experience so we could learn how to use the different senses to experience wine truly. She had very understandable techniques and analogies to help judge physical aspects such as colour, acidity, body and strength. She also helped us develop our palate to experience the aromatic aspects to the wine as well.
We had 5 dry wines overall, each with a cheese pairing. Stand out wine includes a traditional Greek pine sap infused white, and a leathery red made with the “sour black grape” variety paired with a beautiful Gruyère soaked in olive oil - my partner’s favourite!
Overall it marked a fantastic evening in Athens, would really recommend to anyone visiting, and we can now say we have begun to taste wine rather than just drinking it! Yamas!

Our wine guide for the day, Spiros was amazing. We had a fun day.
Spiros has an incredible knowledge of the wine industry and was just fun to hang out with for the day.
The local wines and the food pairing were perfect
