We had a fantastic day touring Athens with Riki. She managed to keep of all our four boys (ages 7 to 15) interested throughout the day with a pefect mix of history, sights, not too much walking and breaks when needed.

Rikki took myself, husband and 4 boys, ages 15,13,10 and 7 on a wonderful day trip in Athens. She met us at our hotel promptly and brought pictures of the sights to show the boys. We packed so much in and felt like we had seen all the important sites. Rikki was fun, interesting and informative held the kids attention all day. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

I've been taking each of my grandchildren on a special trip for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Cory, my youngest requested Greece because of his love and knowledge of Ancient Greece. We did this trip as a twosome. On our final day, we hired Nehama of Kosher Greece to take us to sights of Jewish relevance. What a wonderful way to end a special trip. Nehama was so knowledgeable and caring. She treated us like family. We started with the Jewish museum, covered many sights including the temple of Zeus, Hadrians Arch, the flea market, 2 synagogues, and more ending up at her Chabads kosher restaurant for a late lunch. We met her husband Mendel and 2 of her 3 children. One was Cory's age and the 2 had a fabulous time together. We did a combination of cabs and walking and Nehama (at Cory's request) went with us on a Metro ride and returned with us to the Hilton hotel. Nehama was wonderful with Cory and has some wonderful ideas of interesting sites and activities for children.

Such a fantastic tour!
Nechama taught us so much about the city of Athens and how Jewish history fits into it all.
She went on our pace, took extra time at the spots we wanted to spend more time at etc.
Truly fantastic!
We even joined her and her family for Shabbat and it was such a memorable and phenomenal experience!
A must do!

This was our first time in Greece. We wanted to see the sites, but also wanted the added dimension of learning about Jewish life here. We hired Nechama to guide us through Athens for one day. She is very knowledgeable, easy to be with, and welcoming. We went to all the famous sites and spent time talking about Greek history, Greece today, and Jewish life in this amazing country. We ended our tour at Gostijo Kosher Sephardi Restaurant. The food and service were great and the setting beautiful. Nechama is wonderful! You won't find a better guide!

We were on a cruise and stopped in Athens for the day. We contacted Nechama Hendel, who picked us up from the port and gave us one of the greatest tours we have ever been on. She is full of great information and took us to see such great and interesting sites in the short amount of time that we had. Thank you for such a great experience!

What a fabulous person Nehama is. Promptly picking us up right at our cruise ship, Nehama first took us with her driver to see and hear about the regular sights of Athens. Since we had been there before a few years ago, we asked to concentrate on a special tour with her of some parts of Athens we had never seen before, After the Acroplolis, changing of the guards and various stops to see ruins and gain unique perspective of Greek history and Hebrew interaction in Greece over the years, we filled the rest of our day with visits and guided touring of the Jewish Museum of Greece, where Nehama explained the history of the various groups of Jews who had come into Athens over the centuries, the Holocaust memorial and many other sites. Finally, the highlight of our day was when we ended up in the GOSTIJO restaurant in the Jewish area of Athens owned by Nehama's wonderful husband. There we tried all the culinary masterpieces one can imagine which link Greek and Israeli dishes. Our hosts were so gracious to us that we felt like visiting family members. I cannot recommend any private tour more highly than a day with Kosher Greece.

We had a day stopover in Athens and contacted Nechama Hendel to assist us in planning a productive day. There were many options - we chose to have Nechama fetch us from the aiport and show us around. Her knowledge of the history of Athens and history in general was phenomenal and we received an incredible amount of information about the place and its historical context. We also got a feel for the entire city and in partiuclar how the Jews fitted in to the history of this bustling city. Nechama was a pleasure to deal with - effecient, personable and accomodating to our every need. Highly recommended!!

We spent a wonderful day this july with nehama hendel.She had us picked up by alex at the cruise terminal. He was there on time and fit 7 of us into his van with no problems, ( we actually used alex on other days of our trip, and to get to the athens airport.)
We met Nehama as planned in the athens hilton and then started our walking tour.
We saw all the tourist sights of athens and all the Jewish ones as well. Nehama was full of info and handled our group like we were family. It was a very hot day, but she got all of us (ages 21 to seniors) to complete the tour. She had air conditioned breaks and cold drink stops well planned.
She also arranged a tour guide to the Accropolis which was a great way to finish our tour.
I also have to mention the chabad resturant where we ate lunch and dinner , Gostijo. The food was great and so were the beers and wine.
especially delicious was the falafel plate, cigars, beef stews and the musaka. The resturant also had a wifi with computers available.
Our tour of athens was made perfect by Nehama.

This was our first time to Athens and we were very pleased with our tour. Nehama was so wonderful and so knowledgeable.. We really liked having the Jewish history and the Greek history. We would highly recommend Athens Jewish City Day tours!
