My son who is 8 has been begging us to go Scuba Diving for the last 2 years (he is autistic) and has not let it go! When we were on holiday in Crete and visited Hippocampos, we knew he was in good hands. My partner, my son and my 7 year old daughter all went scuba diving with Alex and they absolutely loved it, it was the highlight of their holiday! I on the other hand was left standing on the boat in the middle of the ocean with my heart in my mouth, worried sick! It was a wonderful experience for the kids and I cannot thank Alex enough for being so brilliant with them, the training and patience and the time you spent with them afterwards showing them pictures of the fish they saw when they were 5metres under!! Absolutely amazing and Thank you to all the team, you were fabulous!

I made my first dive and I was stressed. This centre is right in the heart of Bali close to the port and they will pick you up from your Inn if needed. The explanations are clear, in French and allow to reassure you. Then there are shallow water tests to see if everything is OK. Then you leave in small groups with your instructor (ours was Luis, adorable and kind). I went down to 12 meters for more than an hour, for a first dive, I did not think I could do it but Luis was always present and kind. The bottoms are beautiful, many varieties of fish, moray eels, starfish, sponges... We will return next year, I loved this timeless moment in a religious silence. Thank you to the whole team for this delicious time and BRAVO.

Diving in Hippocampo Bali in Crete, really nice, family club, settled for a long time, we feel at ease, the infrastructure is perfect, we pick you up at your Pension, you arrive, the blocks are in the boat, you can pick up your equipment, the center is a few tens of meters walk from the port, you get on the boat and there you are, on the dive side, we did a nice dive, for about twenty meters maximum, a lot of amphorae , anchors, pretty mercurial, clear water, in short, simple and tasteful, Crete as we like, do not hesitate if you have a club to choose, choose the Cretan atmosphere of Hippocampo and in addition the instructors they speak all languages and we are never changed. Thanks to Alexandre , Anna and Louis for the welcome

Our first diving experience!!! Super good guidance, the instructor knows what he is doing, and explains everything well. We have seen many species of fish and marine animals. I would definitely recommend this diving school!!!

Amazing service, amazing authentic Cretan cuisine. Enjoy the sunset and eat right on the beach. Family run and not touristy. Very family friendly! Highly recommended, we will be back!

Great, I highly recommend. Our instructor Angelo is very professional, patient and puts you at ease straight away. Lots of apprehension for the first time but everything went very well. The production site created by Angelo is superb. We were able to see fish, shellfish, hermit crabs and molluscs. To do with family or friends without problem thanks to the competent management team. Thank you for this great experience.

First dive, not very reassured and our great instructor of the day Angelo, completely reassured me. Hiper pro, patient, explains everything perfectly even in depth. Louis who explained everything to us before and after and great too. I highly recommend to everyone. And the big surprise we fed and squared muraines.

Une équipe très pédagogue. L'accueil se fait dans le charmant bureau en extérieur. L'équipe est très sympa et rassurante. On sent tout de suite que l'encadrement sera assuré. Pour notre baptême de plongée, Angelo a pris le temps de nous rassurer, en douceur. Passées les 5 1eres minutes d'apprentissage avec le matériel, on part tranquillement main dans main avec Angelo si il sent un stress. Et là tout est magnifique, les poissons sont si proches, que nous les touchons. 1 heure sous l'eau et nous sommes conquis et tellement contents d'avoir enfin dépasser nos craintes. N'hésitez pas, faites confiance à cette magnifique équipe familiale ! Merci à toute l'équipe !

J'ai eu la chance de plongée hier avec Angelo.
Quel bonheur, Angelo et son fils prennent beaucoup de temps pour nous faire partager leur passion et cela même après la plongée avec un petit debrief de ce que l'on a pu voir comme poisson sous l'eau.
A noter que nous n'étions que trois sur le bateau, que le site était tout simplement magnifique et que la plongée a duré 1h20!!!
Si vous aussi vous aimez la plongée, n'hésitez pas, foncez!!!

Hi! My boyfriend and I will be visiting Crete for a week starting at the 5th of August. We always had an interest in Scuba diving, but never came around to do it... so we would be really interested in your Discover Scuba Diving activity! Can you tell me more of what to expect? Would we be able to see a lot of marine life during this activity or will it be quite limited as we are still unexperienced?
Also, would pick up be possible if we are staying in a hotel near the Palace of Knossos?
And how much, in total, would the activity and pick-up cost? (two persons, still students but I don't know whether that matters)

You are far 1h from Bali, so we don't do transfert. If you like to dive with us you'll have to come by your own... Meeting time is 2.00 pm at the dive center it's possible every day except Sunday. First you'll see a video who explain you what you'll do, after small briefing who come back to the video, in shallow water fews skills how to put out water of your mask, put out the regulator take it again, signes and than a dive max. deep 12m around 1h under water. Very nice place wich much life. The cost is 79 euro/pers. You have to do reservation before you can do it by e-mail. Have a nice day best regards Corinne

Hello i'm Corinne from Hippocampos dive center at Bali crete. Thank you for your interest. We dive every day except on Sunday at 9.30 am , 2.30 pm and night dive. The dive center is open 9.00-1.00 and 5.00- 9.00 pm. 1 dive cost 41 euro + 15 euro for equipment, if you do 4 dives is 12 euro for equipment/dive, if you do 6 dives 216 euro + 72 euro for equipment. If you have your onw equipment you can let it at the dive center during your holidays. The best is to do reservation before you can do by e-mail . Your hotel is 15 to 20 mn by feet from the dive center. If you have other question's please contact me. Have a nice day Best regards Corinne

Yes at 8 years old a child can do a try dive, it will be alone with one instructor, first small brefing to explain what to do and to don't do, then we go at the last bay of Bali where is a protect place for beginer, start to breathe at the surface and go slowly down 1 meter, 2 meter max 6 meter's. The cost is 72 euro. It's possible every day at 2.30 pm at the dive center except sunday we are closed. The best is to do reservation at list 48 hours before.
