Alex is an excellent tour guide who is super friendly and knowledgeable. The scenery along the coast and thru the city was impressive. Along with the e-bike (no peddling), we enjoyed a scavenger hunt and so much delicious food. Be prepared to be very full at the end of the tour.

The ecobikes were surprisingly easy and fun to ride. The authentic Greek and Cretan food was plentiful and delicious. Don’t eat much before you start your ride! We enjoyed the great conversation with our guide/host.

Had a great experience riding eco bikes around the Venetian walls and through the city of Heraklion. Alex was our tour guide and he is fantastic. He was so gracious and knowledgeable about the history of Crete. We had lots of fun and experienced what it is like to be a Cretan. Loved it!

My husband and I did this tour and the other guests cancelled so it was just us and Alex the owner. Alex is engaging and super knowledgeable. The bikes were easy and fun to ride. We tried so many amazing local dishes. I’d recommend this tour in a heartbeat as a fantastic way to see the city and try the local cuisine. 10/10!!

Easily the best part of our holiday in Crete. Alex, the owner, was amazing with the kids and us adults and is what makes the tour. Really great with the kids, knowledgeable and very hospitable.
The tour is really fun and most definitely the best way to see the sights in Heraklion.

The Eco Bike tour with Alex is an unbelievable, must-have, experience that my family and I recommend to all. First and foremost, Alex truly tries his best to be an amazing guide while also treating everyone as his close friends. Riding the electric bikes through the countryside with unbelievable views along the way was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had. The tour itself encompasses various aspects of the Cretan culture including olive oil tasting, wine tasting, and a surreal tour of Knossos Palace. Each individual tour was easily one of, if not the best, tours we have taken in Irakleio. Both the olive oil and wine tasting feature a tour of the cultivation process that is educational and interesting. Although the scenery speaks for itself, the guide that will accompany you at Knossos turns the tour into a wonderful story of the Minoan civilization. You will be taken to the most important parts of the Knosos Palace with the additional benefit of having an explanation of their significance. A word of caution that there is a bit of a learning curve to ride the electric bikes as they are motorized and also heavier than regular bikes; it may be difficult for someone who is not already very comfortable riding a bicycle, particularly through busy streets (at some points). Otherwise, we highly highly recommend this tour to everyone who visits Heraklion and if not this one then any tour with Alex as he is such a wonderful guide and a pleasure to spend time with.

First I was over half an hour late because googlemaps couldn't handle the address. Meanwhile, ecoBikes asked if I was still coming. They were actually waiting for me and I could still start the tour. Pleasantly surprised I was also that helmets were provided - none were visible on the pictures of the website. At my appointment there were no other participants and so I had my tour guide Maria the old town of Heraklion and the delicious food with drinks all to myself - that was great before. With the temperatures, sights and distance, there is no better way to experience and explore the city. Cooled by the relative wind, the feet didn't smoke at the end of the tour either:-) The biggest effort was the food with the drinks and afterwards the slumps at Alex's office - phew ;-)

This trip with Maria was absolutely wonderful....we had so much fun Maria was the perfect tour guide. She made sure were safe and comfortable with ebikes, and kept was engaged with Crete's fascinating history. Our tour was adjusted based on our likes and time restrictions. We explored unbeaten paths and ended our day with Raki and Dakos. MARIA IS THE BEST BOOK THIS TOUR YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

This was the second tour we did with Alex - because we enjoyed the first one so much we booked the second one for the following day. We travelled up through the mountains to some gorgeous villages with lunch at a small taverna, the food was fantastic and the locals were like extended family. We sat and ate while listening to local musicians play some beautiful Cretan music and just relaxed and absorbed the atmosphere. I was travelling with a teenager who can be hard to please, but he enjoyed the whole experience and Alex was an amazing guide and a genuinely good person.
The ebikes were great to ride and in perfect condition, Alex carried spare batteries and parts so we didn't need to worry about anything. We had frequent stops for water/sunscreen breaks and photos and although the terrain is hilly, the bikes made it easy and fun.
