Accueil sympa et produits de très bonne qualité. La guide était très agréable et nous en avons profité pour nous arrêter non loin de là par la suite au petit musée du miel

We had a wonderful time learning about the development of harvesting and producing olive oil. This is a wonderful family owned and operated farm. Joanna is very knowledgeable and a delight. Of note, she is fluent in English.
Take the time to visit and support their product.

Voor ons was dit ook een zeer leuke rondleiding! Wij kochten ter plaatse 1 fles...maar die olie is zo goed dat we spijt hebben dat we niet meer gekocht hebben, ook omwille van de beperkingen op onze vlucht! Zo goed deze kwaliteit dat hebben wij meteen tegen elkaar gezegd dat hebben we nog niet meegemaakt!!!!! Daarom ga ik nu proberen om er bij te bestellen.... hopelijk lukt het... De doucheolie op basis van olijfolie is ook een aanrader! We bezochten ook het honingmuseum en de Melidoni grotten in de buurt: beide aanraders!!!

Ein schöner Einblick in das Leben auf Kreta

Es handelt sich um einen familiär geführten Landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb mit eigener Verarbeitung in einer liebevoll gestalteten Umgebung. Die Eigentümerin hat uns, obwohl wir wirklich erst kurz vor Ende der Öffnungszeit an einem Unwettertag dort waren, alle unsere Fragen beantwortet. Wer eine Rundum Betreuung wie in einem Museum wünscht, ist hier vielleicht nicht ganz richtig. Wer gern mit Einheimischen ins Gespräch kommt und deren Arbeit und Lebenswerk zu schätzen weiß, findet einen lohnenswerten Stopp.

Arrivant pour cette visite familiale nous sommes très bien accueillis
Malheureusement nous serons délaissés pour d’autres personnes parlant beaucoup mieux l’anglais que nous
A la fin de la visite nous voulions acheter de l’huile mais impossible de se faire entendre parmi les autres couples présents
Dommage car nous étions les seuls à vouloir en acheter

Lovely olive oil factory

We had a short but very enjoyable hour here, learning about the process of making olive oil and trying out some in a little taster. The tour showed us the old, traditional way of making olive oil, an early mechanised process and the new, modern, faster and more efficient process. This took about 30-40 minutes, finishing with a little taster of the delicious product and a chance to buy some (though with no hard sell, it was very informal and relaxed).

The guide was the daughter of the family that run the factory; her mother was an American-born Greek who grew up in Alabama. We had a great time chatting - she was very bubbly and enthusiastic with a great sense of humour.

Well worth a trip, especially if combined with the honey museum just down the road and the lovely old village of Melidoni.

Besökte som del av en Jeep safari, Den Amerikanska kvinnan som äger fabriken var otroligt rolig och intressant att lyssna på när hon berättade om historien kring olivolja. Man kunde även köpa deras jättefina olivolja efter den avslutande provsmakningen.
