Beautiful site with the Acrocorinth in the background. Count more than 2 hours of visit if you want to enjoy also the museum included in the entrance ticket. No circuit to follow, we walk around the site at our discretion respecting the boundaries. Very nice. Very few people around 6pm in late August. Admission 8€ - 1/2 rate on conditions.

This archaeological site with museum is a beautiful destination in the Peloponnese. Take the time to wander around the site to see what is still standing (or put back upright) and the undersides.

We arrived around 5pm, there were few people. (Top) The place is really beautiful with 360 panoramic views.
Inside is a small well-stocked museum, the explanations are in Greek and English. You can sit on a bench under the trees to contemplate the remains of the Temple of Apollo or simply let yourself be carried away by the place. Entrance is 8 euros, closing at 8pm. You will find many places to refresh or eat all around the site. Just outside there is a kiosk where you will find books cheaper than in Athens with a seller who will share with you his passion for mythology with a good infectious humor.

Excursion made in autonomy. 8 € entry. We have arrived at the opening. It was perfect. There was hardly anyone and the temperature was still acceptable. The remains are beautiful and impressive. We took the time to carefully read (and translate) the explanations, even if they are lacking in some places.

Ancient Corinth Private tour with Kostas T. of OPA Tours.com Spent day with Kostas, tour guide/driver in Ancient Corinth visiting Temple ruins, Acrocorinth-monolithic rock overlooking the ancient city of Corinth, spectacular views of the Isthmus of Corinth, fortress, fountain, mosiac depicting life of Paul. Kostas is expert with knowledge about Greece, past & present. Knowleldgable, accommodating & friendly, never felt rushed through tour.

This is a stunning Roman and a bit earlier archaeological site. There are remains of temples in a beautiful setting with the mountains behind on the one side and the sea on the other. The site is large and there is plenty to look at and walk round. There are ancient well preserved statues in the on site museum.

Ancient Corinth located above modern Corinth.
Parking at the entrance to the site. Preferably come in the morning as soon as it opens to take advantage of the light and to have fewer crowds. THE site consists of a large outdoor area and is completed by a museum.

The views were amazing. The water was so blue. We enjoyed our tour and seeing the sites of these ancient ruins. Great view of the temple of Apollo

HI Bob, I realize this was froma few years ago, but I wanted to ask - how did you visit Corinth? More specifically, is it possible to explore the important sites (and Paul's places) with no car and no private tour? We were planning to take a bus and stop there for the afternoon on our way to Nafplio. But I'm not sure if it's possible. Thanks!

We also rented a car - not sure we saw any public transport - there were a number of tour buses. Remember ancient city of Corinth is quite a way from modern city. There are taxis available.

A couple of answers below a person and given you the correct answer. When in Ancient Korinth, just walk to the top of the drive, the store is the last on your right. The son of the owner, Stephen, will help you, Stephen is very knowledgeable on all the items, quite helpful. If you walk to the top of the street you will find the entrance to their Ancient site. Enjoy the store, it is wonderful. I have been to this store many times.

Concernant l'ANCIENT CORINTHE, pourriez-vous me dire combien de temps prend la visite du site ? si c'est libre accès ? sinon le prix et si c'est ouvert le dimanche après-midi et lundi matin ? idem pour le musée?
Je n'ai pas trouvé ces infos sur le net, et j'aimerais préparer au mieux mon passage à Corinthe.

I doubt it. The museum is small, but high quallity. The circuit of the ruins is small, but very interesting. The walk up to the fortress is free and could be done another day. It takes longer because it is more strenuous, but very informative.

My wife and I are heading to Greece for 8 days in June. We would love to do some Day tours out of Athens checking out Biblical tours and landmarks before heading to an Island for a few nights. Does anyone have recommendations of tours to go on based out of Athens, tour groups to use, companies, etc? Any help would be great!

We did two fantastic trips from Athens to Ancient Corinth and also Delphi with Athens Taxi Tours (with Michael Sterianos). I would also contact him to see what he could arrange. Very helpful and great to deal with.

You can go with a tour group ( bus or private) from Athens and other cities nearby. Ancient Corinth is not huge or overwhelming. It is kind of "off the beaten path" of roads but not hard to get to. We drove ourselves there and did a self guided tour. It is helpful to know what you are looking at since it is all ruins, so if you are driving yourselves, get a good Guide Book. ( I did not see any tour guides at the entrance like you see in other places. )
