Horse and carridge at Aegina. By the port , they look after there horses terrible!! It upset me so much. No water out in the heat. 36 degrees waiting to ride some silly people around. They should have water there and spray them and have shade. The people who look after them don’t speak English so I could not do anything about it. I will not ever come there again how terrible for these poor animals!!

Me and my girlfriend were shocked as we saw 5 very thin horses which seemed to eat the dirt of the ground. 4 of these 5 horses could arguably considered to be healthy taking into account that Aegina was in a rather dry and hot season. But one of the horses really seemed to starve. Fortunately we got the two healthiest horses and had a Nice route so it was a nice ride. Furthermore, Stelios was very nice to me and my girlfriend.

After setting up the trip via email we arrived on Aegina we were soon met by Stelios. He is a very charismatic character and makes you feel very welcome.
After a short taxi ride to the horses(€4-5) we were introduced to our horses. The horses are brilliant with beginners and are not fazed by traffic and dogs barking.
The scenery you pass by is absolutely stunning and Stelios stops you at a small off road area for a photo opportunity.
What a fantastic memory we will take home with us.
If you are on Aegina or even across in Athens like us this is a must. Ferries are regular and easy to book. We used Saronic Ferries which cost just over €70 return for a family of four.

We knew we wanted to horseback ride on Aegina when we got there, but weren't quite sure how to set it up. Our airbnb host recommended we go to the port to speak to Stellios. He doesn't speak much English, so a horse and buggy driver helped translate with us, and Stellios told us to come back the next day at an earlier time. The next day we did so, and he drove with us to a small crop of land where he keeps his two horses. There, he made it super easy to get right on the horses and go for a ride through the suburban streets of Aegina, stopping at a lighthouse to take pictures for us too. He was a great guide, and we really enjoyed the experience!
Since it was off-season I don't think he had as much business, which is why it was so easy for us to set up an impromptu ride, so if you're visiting in the summer, I'd try to get in contact with him a bit ahead of time. When we visited he only had two horses grazing, so it'd be a good idea to check about larger groups if you plan on riding with more than two people. We also heard that in summer it's possible to ride the horses along the beach, which sounds like a great experience as well. All in all, 20 euros per rider for an hour was a great price, and a great overall experience!

Υπέροχος ο Κ Στέλιος καθώς και ο Ρωμαίος (το άλογο) για την βόλτα μας. Δεν είχαμε καμία εμπειρία και μας βοήθησε να εξοικειωθούμε και να το καβαλήσουμε με ασφάλεια. Όλη την ώρα βρισκόταν δίπλα από το άλογο, τέλος η εμπειρία ήταν υπέροχη.

Good way to have a first glance of Aegina port when you arrive at the island. Recommended in Spring or Autumn, or after the sun has set in Summer, because you might get sunburnt. It ;s scenic and it lasts 15 minutes for 15 euros. I enjoyed doing it!

Nous avons fait une balade d 1h avec stellios a cheval c était féerique ! Une belle vue sur la mer et une balade sympa dans les ruelles d Égine, rien a redire!

Η βόλτα με αμαξάκι κοστίζει 15 ευρώ και διαρκεί περίπου 15 λεπτά. Σε γυρίζει την παραλία της Αίγινας και γύρω δρόμους

I would like to have the name of the horse back riding center at Aegina island and the website name if there is.
