Hello, It is hard to forecast because every year is different and it depends on space weather how much and how strong the northern lights we can see. My experience is that at least in every week it is possible to see the northern lights in Ivalo in November.

Hello, The first week of April is still dark enough for us to see the Northern Lights.

There is not enough snow in November to arrange snowmobile safaris.

We went in Feb 2919 and were there for 4 days 3 nights (from Sunday to Wed) as we did the snow mobil and huskie sled ride in the day time then went out to see the northern lights at night. We did not see it and it seems the northern lights appeared the Wed or Thurs before. You can still see northern lights but frequency lesser these few years as it is not in the peak cycle which follows a 11 yr cycle and the last peak was 2013/2014. It means to increase your chance of seeing it now means you need to stay longer in Ivalo. Then again it means you need to plan other things to do. Even so no guarantee. Also note the full moon thing as well. All the best !
