Relaxing place near the seaside

We visited this place to relax after a busy day. We travelled here by tram then walked in this nice park. There are lots of trees and flowers, benches and playground for children. It's arranged and clean. You can take lots of photos, too.

Отличное место для прогулок

Отличное место для прогулок в самом центре Хельсинки. Есть детская площадка и рестораны. Из парка сразу можно выйти к набережной.

Schöner grosser Park

Ein sehr großer Park relativ zentrumsnah. Der Park zieht sich vom Botschaftsviertel bis ans Meer.
Am 1. Mai zu Vappu geht hier die Post ab und der Park ist bis auf den letzten Platz belegt.

A Jaw-Dropping Urban Park

I beg all my readers to check out this expansive, lush urban park on the southern end of central Helsinki. It’s moderately hilly, with grassy areas for picnics and benches for people-watching and admiring the harbor vistas. I drive a power wheelchair, and most of the trails within the park are completely wheelchair-accessible. Anyone of any background will find something to appreciate here. Plus, it’s free!

Do yourself a huge favor and visit the Kaivopuisto ASAP. Take lots of pictures, and have fun!

Large city park with flowers, monuments and playgrounds

The area of Kaivopuisto is about 16 hectares. You find many statues, flowers, old trees, beautiful sitting places, Kaivohuone Night Club, two playgrounds and a public toilet there. If you walk to the seaside, you find some nice cafeterias, too. If the weather is hot, it is nice to walk in the shade of trees.

In the southwest corner of the city, Kaivo is a popular hangout for the locals. Lots of picnics and musicians in the good weather. This seaside neighborhood is one of the oldest parks in the city.

Popular seaside park

2020年5月

Kaivopuisto is one of the oldest parks in the city. The seaside neighborhood is also home to old villas and several embassies. It is known as a diplomat district.

At the highest point of the park is the yellow Ursa observatory from 1926.

The vast lawns are popular areas to sunbathe or to have picnics. However, gooses have invaded them. In the summertime, many concerts are held in the park.

Besides the many cafes, you can visit Kaivohuone, a legendary restaurant, and nightclub dating from the 1830s.
