THIS IS A GREAT SWIMMING HALL 🏊🏽♀️. I just had to shout it out. Go here if you want a calm atmosphere, no annoying children yelling, playing and running, your own cubicle where you can rest, and lovely architecture. The extra fee for the 2nd floor facilities (e.g. own cubicle, steam room, wood burning sauna) is money well spent. Please observe that they apply a gendered admission schedule, so there's no need for swimming pants.

Very cool for sauna! It has switching days woman or men, so checkout before you go. 75 and 85 degress, very hot but nice. After sauna you can shower and swim. The price is only 5 EUR (compared to other locations).

A very interesting experience for a first time to a swimming hall and sauna in Finland. Bathing suits are “allowed” but no one wears them so just expect that and deal with it. Bring a towel from your hotel because towel rental costs more than entry. If you don’t have much experience in saunas then don’t sit near the heater - i guess that means you’re the water guy and you’ll be told to add more when it’s time by the other people in there. Overall it’s a very cool experience

Had a fantastic two hours in the pool and sauna area this morning, and have a few bits of advice that I wish I had known in advance. First of all if you are only going for a simple swim and sauna option (ie ground floor facilities only) you DON'T get a free towel or robe for the price. Entry cost €5.50 for the swim/sauna but it was another €7 just to hire a smallish towel. I then paid a further €1 for a paper 'mat' that you can sit on in the sauna. However, I was quite surprised to see that in both of the saunas most men just sat naked on the benches, without a towel or mat, something that would get you into trouble in a German sauna for sure. The paper mat ended up so soggy I also abandoned it fairly soon. Next time I will take a small spare hand towel to sit on.
The attitude towards nudity is super convenient in the whole ground floor area. You can stick all your clothes in your locker at the start and then forget all about them, you don't need to dress or wrap up at any point in any section. Nudity is compulsory in the saunas and optional in the swimming pool. There must have been about 50 people around over the whole time I was there and I only noticed three or four people wearing swimming costumes. My (female) friend visits sometimes and she says among women it's slightly over half who go nude in the pool, so either way skinny dipping is the majority choice. It creates a very pleasant, somehow quite old-fashioned atmosphere, and I was surprised how many cheerful conversations took place in the sauna among the supposedly taciturn Finns, several of whom chatted to me a bit.
And in the downstairs only section you can stay for as long as you want, there is no timed entry system. I stayed two hours and had frequent swims in between visiting the two saunas. The final tip I must give is to take some soap/shampoo along with you. There are no soap dispensers anywhere near the row of showers, so I had to rinse off in water only. I think the pool is missing a trick by not providing this, because some people won't be quite so clean when going for a dip. But that's just about the only thing I can suggest as an improvement on an otherwise perfect experience.

So it was one of the nearest swimming pool from the hotel I stayed. Luckily my hotel reception were able to call them and confirmed that Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only for men's. This is one of the oldest swimming hall where swim wear were optional. I paid 16 euros for 2 floors from 1pm to 3pm. The overall staff were friendly and speaks good English. 1st floor dry sauna were opened with the 3 lanes pool. 2nd floor wet sauna and another dry sauna with some traditional herbs or leafs were opened too. It was such a great relaxing experience and everywhere were clean and well maintained. Looking forward to visit you again whenever I am back to helsinki in the future.

This remains the best place in Helsinki for a swim and a sauna. Though the days are segregated the hours are long and it's possible to get in for a swim around other committments when in the city. It's calm, relaxed and a great place to enjoy a swim and a sauna. It's also, at least on mens days, pretty sociable and although the dominant language is obviously Finnish, it changes quite quickly to English if you attempt to join in. All in all, a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Very lovely place! Must see! This is the first and oldest public swimming hall in Finland. It's a great place to stop by as a traveler or local.

Saunoissa on hyvät löylyt. Yläkerran puusaunasta tulee mieleen savusauna, koska siellä on ihana tuoksu. Yläkerrassa saa myös tilata syötävää ja juotavaa saunomisen jälkeen. Jos kaipaa vanhanajan kylpyläfiilistä, kannattaa ehdottomasti käydä tutustumassa paikkaan.

How do you go about purchasing tickets for this place? Their website appears to be decommissioned
撰写日期:2019年3月5日
Hi. The tickets are sold at the cashiers, if you want to go upstairs for the deluxe experience and there is a queu you have to wait. The opening days for women are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Allas Sea Pool, on the harbor adjacent to the market square and Presidential palace, used to have mixed gender nude swimming on one evening. Not sure whether it was Friday or Saturday. Also don't know whether they still do, but it was the only game in town for couples, for pool swimming. If you want to do sauna, and (now cold) sea swimming au naturel as a couple, there's Sompasauna.
