Käytiin yhteysaluksella parintunnin reissu ja kerettiin tutusrua kattavasti saaren nähtävyyksiin. Kaupan henkilökunta mahtavaa ja avuliasta. Saarella voi myös yöpyä. Majoitus tilaan mahtuu useampi henkilö, joten esim. Luokkaretket, rauhalliset pikkujoulut ym. Olisi mahtava juttu järjestää tänne. Suosittelen makkaranpaistoa, koska tulipaikka oli hyvä ja tuulelta suojassa.

Island has an old fishing village, some summer homes, an old schoolhouse, a customs checkpoint and not much else. Quiet and "away from it all," especially if you can swing an overnight.

My first trip to this beautiful island. We went there using our own boat but I believe there is also a public transportation available. There is a small grocery store and Cafeteria where you can buy coffee, ice cream etc. Lot of charming houses, church and old school, but the view... oh my God!! Don’t miss the place in summertime.

The cottages each have a sauna and the smoke sauna is not to be missed. The hottest sauna I have been in. A good time for a large group.

Less than 20 people leave permanently on this remote island - remoteness means a two hour free ferry ride from the Kotka harbor. There is only one grocery store and a couple places to buy coffee and ice cream on the island but you definitely don't go there for shopping! You can stay overnight but don't expect a start hotel accommodation. The trip itself is an experience, especially if it is a windy day. In summertime local fishermen sell salmon almost directly from the see. You can swim, sun bath and enjoy the scenery and quietness.

Прогулки в природных парках сами по себе достопримечательности Финляндии. В этом парке можно прогуляться с семьей, посмотреть домики и устроить маленький пикник. Очень здорово летом.

It is far away, at the edge to aghipelago. Interesting place, used to be independent community (nowadays part of Kotka). There is the village, one shop/kiosk, and boarder control point.
It takes on day trip. Take photos, envoy the trip, se open sea.
Difficult part: find the boat schedule. Check if you can get food or take your own with you. Enjoy.

Мы выбрали не самое удачное время для посещения острова. Пронизывающий балтийский ветер так и норовил загнать нас в тёплую машину. Однако даже беглого осмотра малолюдной рыбацкой деревни и маяка хватило, чтобы понять: летом здесь должно быть красиво. Так что планируем вернуться в Котку и посетить Хаапсаари в пору белых ночей.
