Ystävällinen opastava henkilökunta sekä hienoasettelu alakerran porvariskodissa. Yläkerrassa merellinen museo yllätti laajuudellaan sekä hienoilla yksityiskohdillaan. Koko alue puutaloineen on näkemisen arvoinen.

Lovely museum

The downstairs of the house is the presentation of the history of the house and how the wealthy family used to live. The rooms are well presented and there are good explanations of each room. There are also some photo board displays of old buildings in Uusikaupunki which were demolished and replaced with ugly modern blocks, well worth a look!

Upstairs is dedicated to the maritime history of Uusikaupunki with lots of photos, exhibits, pictures of ships and other such usual things.

The inside yard contains some outbuildings, including a shoe maker's workshop. The yard is a nice place to sit and have a coffee or picnic.

I'd highly recommend a visit to this museum!

Burgoise living for over 100 years ago and maritime history

The house shows how the wealthy people lived in Uusikaupunki over 100 years ago.
Upstairs there is a small maritime history exhibition connected with Uusikaupunki.
A short and interesting lesson of ancient living.
