We had an amazing tour. We loved the insights they brought about the history, customs, culture and language. The guides are personable and take time to answer questions. We loved the commentary as we drove on the bus. There was always something going on. The tour route to the hot pools, Þingvellir, goðafoss, and countryside was beautiful and memories will last forever. You will not be disappointed.

The tour was in English, we knew that in advance. Unfortunately, we don't speak English., but with some will from the guide could have prevented discrepancies in viewing times. The times for sightseeing were far too short, 5 minutes for Thingvellier, as well as for the crevasse and 20 minutes for the Gullvoss were far too short. It took at least 15 minutes from the parking lot to see the Gullvoss properly. The tour was a singular rant and didn't get us anywhere. The only plus point was the bath in Secret Lagoon.

We have minimum of 40 minute stop at Þingvellir, about 10 min at the tectonic plates, since we have lunch at Gullfoss it is the longest stop or about 60-75 min and about 40-60 min at Geysir.
I have looked at the parking for the buses at Þingvellir in September and the shortest time parked is 40 min, I really don't understand the 5 min stop you talk about. Could you send us an email?

This tour is not a full day tour and allows for drop offs at the Blue Lagoon and airport which has many advantages for those not wanting to return to Reykjavik. While our tour guide Starry covered information about the sites we visited, he also
provided contemporary and historical political and cultural commentary which added a lot to the tour. The highlight was learning about his anicent lineage and family literary traditions dating back to the ninth century. In the US, many of us can cite family history no further back than our great grandparents so I was in awe of his heritage. If you are interested in Icelandic history as well as the stunning geographic sites, I definitely recommend the Geopark tour with this guide.

Our guide Rakel was amazing! We learned much from her about nature etc. Geysir was a little bit disapointment and there was way too much people. Secret lagoon was nice, but guite shortsit time to send there. Very nice trip anyway!

The tour itself was great, the van size nice. One main issue I had was the logistics & crowds. To begin with the communication was poor.
#1 the pick up location is not by the ship, it's 1/4 miles away, no direction given! Had it not been for another private bus guide, we'd have missed the tour!
#2. The pick up zone is a disaster! 50+ companies lined up in lanes pulling up and out, and our bus was nowhere to be found. My friend & i walked all over asking each company "are you our van?" The name of the company on my receipt didn't match the bus company. It was a sh_ _t show. Our van had a tiny 8x 12 sign in the front left corner of dashboard.
#3. Be aware, mid summer is not the time to visit Iceland due to crowds! Yes we too are part of the "crowd " however it was a nightmare. This has zero to do with with the tour, but the result of bus after bus, there was a traffic jam at every stop. Best bet, go in May or September. I've seen the same thing in Alaska with 5-6 ships in port.......avoid at all costs.
#4. Overall tour was great & price was right.

With Viator bookings we can only communicate through them. We do send all instructions and a google maps pin when it comes to the pick up. We also assist our passengers through the phone, they can call us when in need and we call them when they are nowhere to be found.
The port designated a location for buses and taxis to pick up passengers, as it can be hectic and difficult to have many pick up locations when dealing with thousands of passengers from the ships. There is no other way to do pick up, we do send all this through email or Viator if booked through them. Luckily problems with pick up are highly unusual when people see our message or contact us.
As for the crowd, this is the same all over the world. People travel during the summer, this of course can mean crowds. Especially when it is a cruise ship day.

This was a great tour with stops every hour or so at beautiful areas. The tour guide/driver was wonderful. His knowledge of Iceland was amazing.

A great day in Iceland was had. Gummi related so many interesting facts and stories about Iceland and the areas we visited. The vehicle was very comfortable.
Plan on a long worthwhile day, which is well worth your time. Oh and the restroom breaks were well planned.

A full day exploring waterfalls and geysers on our way to a secret lagoon. Despite the rain we were able to enjoy a variety of natural wonders along the Golden Circle. Gullfoss was the most amazing and powerful waterfall of the day!

This guide is no longer working for us, so you don't have to worry about avoiding him.
We operate all our tours in sprinters, taking up to 19 passengers per tour. We recommend joining a small group tour, because it saves you time (you don't have to wait for 50 people to get in and out of the bus), it's more personal (There's more opportunity to ask the guide questions) and we can often spend more time at the sights.

Hello! Planning to visit Iceland in mid October, and while the Hot Golden Circle tour sounds appealing, wondering how one handles the logistics (and the cold!) of getting out of wet clothing and the hot spring back into winter clothing in this setting! Also, wondering if you want to the Blue Lagoon and if you would still recommend this hot tour with the spring in addition. Thank you much!

there are changing rooms, lockers and showers at the hot spring pool, so you will change comfortable in warm environment:)
Generally we recommend the Hot Golden Circe with the Secret Lagoon much more than the Blue Lagoon as Blue Lagoon is way more touristic and crowded.
