We didn’t see any signs of the Northern Lights due to the fact that cloud cover was 98% of the sky. We can’t dictate the weather so the chances of seeing them was highly unlikely due to the 2% chance. I would advise people to check out Iceland’s cloud cover before booking a trip. It can be done on the met website for their weather and gives an accurate 3 day cover. I didn’t find this information out until 2 days after our trip. Our guide however was very knowledgeable and encouraged us to rebook another trip (which was free) however due to the total cloud cover it was cancelled the next day.

We took two tours with Iceland Horizon, South Shore & Golden Circle. Both were small, maybe 15 people on a minibus. Both were all day, arriving back around 4:30/5:00pm so there was time to eat before heading out on a northern lights tour (which Iceland Horizon does not do). We had different guides which was nice because they had different styles about what they talked about. There were stops for lunch, which is not included. We brought our lunch, so no review on the food or cost. Both guides did a good job of timing so that we arrived or left in time to miss the big busses. In my opinion a much better alternative than the big bus tours where you spend so much time waiting on others.

This tour was purchased directly through their website as I was on a cruise ship and this left from port. The name of the tour was Golden Circle Small Group From Reykjavik Port. The driver/guide should have just been called a driver as that’s really all he did. He talked maybe 10% of the time but unfortunately no one was able to understand him. The first stop was a mess. He told everybody to meet at the bottom of a hill but did not give a timeline nor was he specific about where to meet. We ended up waiting 30 minutes because one couple was not where everyone else was, through no fault of their own. He finally went looking for them and we found them right away. At subsequent stops we encouraged him to be more specific on a timeline and then ended up waiting for him at two of the stops. Incredibly disappointed.

We were picked up in a minibus by a guide named Sulton who comes from India.He did not know the history of Iceland or the culture. The charge for each one of us was twice the price advertised here. He did not have a planned day for us and we never stopped for lunch(as advertised). Iceland Horizon tours or Saga Iceland tours were very disappointing.

Thank you for your review. Firstly our guide name is Sultan, and he is from Iceland. He has been living here for over a decade.
Secondly you were not on a Small group tour of the South shore, you were on a private tour of Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This tour was booked by another party with your group, and it seems you were misinformed what you were buying.
Price for private tours are of course higher per person as you are getting a private tour, not a group tour.
You also contacted us beforehand with treats of a bad review if you were not refunded. And in lights of your claims of being a travel agent, we find that very unprofessional. We would certainly not recommend you as a travel agent to anyone.
We have reported your review as wrongful.

Yesterday-June 10th, we took this tour with Monica. It was one of the most interesting, fact filled + scenic days ever! Monica is high energy, good vibes, super informative and even plays Icelandic music enroute! We got the most INCREDIBLE photos + video of a glacier, waterfalls + locations where Game of Thrones was filmed. I would give this your 6 stars if I could!

The seats on the bus were a bit tight ( I'm 5'2 and have an athletic frame and I thought it was tight, my hubby who is 6 feet tall was cramped), but luckily there were a few open seats so we got to spread out a bit. That would be my only complaint. The rest of the day was amazing.
Halle was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He also adjusted our tour itinerary to minimize being in crowded spots (summer weekend), which was much appreciated. We still saw everything plus a few additional quick stops and avoided long lunch lines and crowds at the waterfalls.
My favorite stop was one of the last optional ones were we had to get our feet wet to go explore a waterfall in a cave. only a few of the more adventurous tour goers joined us and Halle was so excited that some of us risked wet feet to see the hidden waterfall. He was right, it was WORTH IT!
Iceland's weather also cooperated and gave us a spectacular day, which was kind of mother nature.
It was cultural night in Reykjavik and most of the streets downtown were blocked off for concerts and events. We had another tour right after this one and Halle went out of his way to drop us off in a different location close to where we needed to be instead of the designated stop. THis was really above and beyond after driving us around for 11 hours and we truly appreciated this additional gesture during an atypical night.

We did two day tours with this company the Golden Circle and the South Coast. Both were perfect for us. The guides were accommodating and ever so friendly. We appreciated the time they took to accompany us to each of the spots we visited. We saw waterfalls, geysers, learned about the aftermath of volcanic eruptions, and visited sheep and horses. What beautiful creatures they are. The itinerary for the tours was well thought out and allowed us sufficient time to visit each site. Thank you for two beautiful days that we will never forget.

Pickup/Dropoff was on time, pickup instructions were clear.
Our tour guide, Fronor (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) was knowledgeable, funny, and kind. He drove safely for the entirety of the trip. Fronor gave us background information and good sightseeing tips for each of our stops, he pointed out interesting and unique sights along the drive, and he made the downtime on the rest of the drive enjoyable with his insights into Icelandic culture, folklore, music, and food. Ask him about his favorite Icelandic letter, and his favorite spots around Reykjavik!
10/10 would book with Iceland Everywhere again.

We were supposed to be on a small group tour but at the last minute they switched to a group of 15. It was pouring rain but still able to see the main sights. - Waterfalls and geothermal areas. I think all of the tours to these sights are the same so pick a tour company that is priced well and meets your time frame.

We loved Anna. I’m addition to doing a wonderful job explaining what we were seeing, she added some real Icelandic flavor, telling us about her life growing up in Iceland, teaching us about the culture. She adapted quickly to an unexpected detour and made sure we still hit all our sites. Truly delightful.

I am confused. No Iceland travel agency in Manhattan. Want at least an 8-10 day trip with at least half the time spent in spas and the touring part not too vigorous [senior]. Your minibus tours look wonderful but I need to book a full service trip. Who do you recommend?

We have two full day tours scheduled with Iceland Horizon at the end of July and have tried several times to re-confirm with them via email and through the contact page on their website with no luck. We would appreciate travelers letting us know whether they booked in advance and if you tried to confirm and whether they received a response. We are concerned that Iceland Horizon won't show up since they are not responding to our contacts trying to confirm. Please let us know if you had any problems as we are concerned about their reliability. Thank you.

Some of our buses have wifi. If you put that request on your booking then we will do what we can to arrange for a bus with wifi for your tour. Please note: we are not always checking on Trip Advisor, so it can sometimes be several days before we notice a question on Trip Advisor. It's always best to contact us direct with any questions you have

We don't operate long tours lasting several days with hotels. We only operate a small selection of day tours by minibus in small groups.
If you have any further questions, please contact us direct through our website and email.
Using Trip Advisor as a middle man for information often causes delays in our replies as we don't see the questions on a regular basis.
