我不知道在马耳他可以发生什么，但是看到这么漂亮的港口让我很放松。走到那里很方便，那里有很多餐厅和拍照的机会。我尤其喜欢看停泊在那里的Luzzo渔船。它们多姿多彩，很轻易就能看到。

大多数游客是乘停靠在海边的游轮抵达马耳他的。海滨有许多老建筑，周围有咖啡馆和纪念品商店。沿着海边散步，沿途拍摄风景，感觉很轻松。在老城狭窄的小巷里漫步，对你来说应该是另一种体验。

马尔他大多的经济型住宿都在斯利马，隔一个海就可以看到马尔他的首都和圆顶教堂。斯利马的waterfront也有很多商家和知名品牌可以逛。从这里就可以看到瓦莱塔，并不用坐渡轮，至于要去首都观光的话，其实不要浪费你的七日公车卡，坐公车就好了。
港边有很多摊位在这里卖行程、可以顺便一逛。基本上，因为不远，所以从利斯马这端望像首都那端还是很有感觉的。

当初决定住在Valletta，就是想慢慢感受和体会它的古老，尤其是那高低起伏的街道，很有味道；还有就是坐Ferry到对面比较现代的Sliema也很是方便，从Sliema看对面的Valletta，尤其是日落，很有感觉！

My husband and I are travelling to Malta in June I have just been looking at visiting the valetta I’ve noticed some gondola boats and was just wondering how we go about booking it and the cost thank you in advance

We used the standard ferry across to the Three Cities at €1.50 each, including the cost of the lift back up to the City Centre. We noticed the small boats near to the Grand Harbour ferry terminal but didn’t check the prices. The oars are only used for the final few meters to mooring up with outboard motors for the main journey. The tourist office should be able to provide more details (there is a small one near the main Triton Fountain gate into the city from the bus station.

If you are just talking about the Valetta Waterfront it is fairly smooth. If you want to go up to Valetta, the streets are narrow getting over to the lift that will take you up to the gardens and the actual city of Valetta.

We are coming to Valetta via cruise ship for one day in October. We already have a half-day tour...blue grotto boat tour. After that tour, can anyone make a suggestion for the top sites to see in Valetta, and how close is it to the cruise port? Walkable or need transportation? Thank you for any insights.

I've been there twice on cruises and would encourage you yo be on deck to watch the ship pull into the port as it is great viewing the majestic ancient walls and historic buildings. Cruise ship is docked just at the base of Old Town. After you you leave the pier, walk a few blocks and take the Barrakka Lift (an elevator; cost 0.5 euro) up to the Old Town. At the elevators exit is the Upper Barrakka Gardens and Saluting Battery overlooking the entire city and port. Then walk a few blocks into Old Town to the St Johns Co Cathedral (self guided tour with audioguide). This is a must see as it is extremely ornate and is also the burial site of ancient crusaders. Then stroll the city and take in the sites. If you have time visit the Auberge de Castille which house the Governors Office and Parliament as well as a very interesting and historic Military Museum. You should be able to accomplish all this in 3-4 hours depending on how much time you have in port. Again the Cathedral is a must see and the biggest attraction in Malta. Enjoy

You could spend a month within a half hour walk of your ship and still have things to see. Valletta is a treasure house of history, culture and expansive views.

Sorry,impossible to answer, depending on preference of cuisine there are so many to choose from. Cafe Cordina on Republic St just before George Sq.has a well deserved reputation and is one of my personal favourites as is Pallazo di Piro but then that's in Mdina. Also near Mdina is the very good Point de Vue restaurant just outside Mdina gates.

We are 50+ couple. We want to visit Valletta in September. My husband has a medical condition and can not walk up hill too much. Because of that I am not sure if going to Valletta is a good idea. Is Valletta easy to walk through? Are there many hills that we will need to climb in order to get to the tourist attractions? We are coming mainly as cultural tourists so if walking through the city will be difficult (a lot of steep streets and stairs) than the whole purpose of the visit is not going to be reached. Please advise.

Hi, yes there r hills and steps especially going down to the harbour. I think u could avoid a lot of them. We stayed in St Julians and u can walk along the promenade to Sliema and beyond and that is pretty flat. Valetta is just further around the coast. The public transport is very good and quite cheap. It is very hot from end of June thru July and August. Hope that helps. Just been to Lille in France and that is very flat.

We are trsavelling to Valletta for the day on a cruise. We have been to Malta before but not Valletta and really want to spend a day or half a day in the Grand Harbour or nearby attractions. I am not great with hills ! What is the easiest way to get from where the cruise ships dock to where we want to be.Thank you.

Walk along the harbour and on your left will be a new elevator taking you straight up to barraka gardens in the city .ship to city 10 mins
