Fantastic way of looking at the lower part of the city from above. The panoramic elevator was a nice experience.
Must have seen when at Luxembourg.

Worth a look when in Luxembourg gives great views over the old town, this is just a lift that locals use daily so don’t expect anything more

Great Views

The Pfaffenthal Lift is on the edge of the valley snaking through Luxembourg and is the perfect way to get to the top (or bottom) of the valley after a day exploring the area.

Well worth taking a moment to admire the view from the observation gallery at the top of the lift. It is GLORIOUS!

From here it is a short walk over the huge red bridge to Pfaffenthal Kirchberg railway station or the tram stop by the theatre is even closer.

Well worth checking out on your visit to the city.

Saves a Climb (Up or Down)

Excellent way of getting down to the old riverside town areas. Glass enclosure gives you a good all round view (glass kept very clean too). Free to use.

Be carefull when you travel with somebody scared of heights because there is nowhere to hide!!

Worth noting that there is a similar bottom to top lift at the far Southern end at Grund.

Up and down with full exposure!

Fabulous glass elevator that whisks people from the upper plateau of Luxembourg City 65 meters down to the Pfaffenthal valley section of the city in a matter of seconds. Great views and fun, free ride!

Free lift down to the old town

I'm sure it is nicer in the summer but Luxembourg is amazing for free public transport and this lift is super easy and ideal to get down to explore.

Salita completamente gratuita e sicuramente suggestiva.
Funzionante anche l'1 Gennaio, giorno in cui quasi tutte le attrazioni erano chiuse.
La vista sui quartieri sottostanti non è particolarmente caratteristca, ma ne vale la pena.

Ascensore panoramico superveloce!

Questo ascensore, in zona Pfaffenthal, permette di salire dal Grund alla parte centrale della città in poco più di 30 secondi.
Orari di funzionamento variabili ma decisamente ampi, sarebbe meglio controllare il sito. A San Silvestro è stato in funzione fino all'una di notte.
