This is a great place to start an orientation to the city and history of Luxembourg. The format of the museum is very interesting starting at the lower levels inside fortress wall and going through a timeline around each floor and up to current times. There are relief models of the city in ancient and medieval times. The audio guide is good. The full room glass elevator that moves through the stone walls is very cool!

Good understated attraction in Ville Haute

Very good and well told history of Luxembourg and the capital city. Excellent value at just €5. Straddles 3 floors and chronologically takes you through time. All displays had French/German/English narrative. Poster exhibition on floor 5 was a bonus

Les trois étages inférieurs dédiés à l’histoire de la ville sont très intéressants. Les deux étages supérieurs un peu moins mais à 5€ la visite c’est très bien.

A very enlightening visit. The building is beautifully designed, making full use of the natural features. Very informative using a range of exhibits to demonstrate the full history of the city from earliest times to the present day in a fair and balanced way.

Não sei porque esse museu não aparece muito nos guias de turismo. É um excelente museu que conta a história da cidade, de forma lúdica, organizada e atrativa. Sem falar na linda vista para o vale a partir do interior do museu.

Great museum in the centre of Luxembourg!

We enjoyed visiting the museum on the last day of our trip to Luxembourg. Lots of interesting information about the history of Luxembourg and how the country has developed over the years. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the panoramic terrace!
