Since we wanted to show Liechenstein to an acquaintance, we made a stop in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. We really liked Main Square and surprised me positively. There are the various government buildings and also some special works of art. It is a nice, clean street where there are also some cafes. Vaduz is certainly worth a short visit.

It was a week travel for us travelling into Basel, France then to Tasch, Zermatt, Gornergrat, Latterbrunnen then to Lichtenstein. First thing when we planned this trip is to pronounce this country name right. Route to Vaduz castle was closed and hence we seen it from far. There is a comfortable parking lot closeby and we parked our car. Main square was very beautiful looking as if the whole place was made of wood due to the colour. There are strange monuments around like Rhino crushed, Car with human legs instead of wheels and other few unique ones. Good one for some nice photos. There was a little rain and the whole place was empty when we walked the street around. Parliament building was nearby as well. Then we left to Wildhaus for stay, Zurich, then to Colemar, France and back to Basel, France. It is good to cover this country if coming to Switzerland.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day trip to Liechtenstein. This square adds to the experience with its peaceful atmosphere and unusual statues to look at.

All of Vaduz's main attractions are located in the pedestrian zone, including the State Museum, the Treasury, and the seats of the state parliament and government. The royal family's castle sits on a rocky outcrop above it. There wasn't much going on at the time of our visit. There are hardly any cafes or interesting shops. We left after half a day.

Vaduz can be done as a day trip from Zurich. Get the train to Sargans, and then Bus 12E to Vaduz. And the great thing is if you have the Swiss Travel Pass then it also covers the bus journey into (and back from) Liechtenstein.
Some great scenery observed from the bus. And then have a nice stroll around Vaduz taking in the sights. A good way to get some insights is to take the half hour City train which takes you past most of the landmarks with a running commentary (through headphones in multiple languages) - cost was 11 CHF per person.
There are plenty of eateries and if you have brought your own packed lunch there are plenty of benches to sit on while soaking up some sunshine and the surrounding views.

Vaduz is a small town so the square is also small. It is clean, small and compact. Once you pass here don't go for more souvenir shops and stores etc..you will not find. Nonetheless I love this tiny city and it's tiny main square.

リヒテンシュタインVaduzのメインスクエアには、観光案内所、博物館、教会、レストラン等があります。まずは観光案内所で地図を入手すると共に有料の入国スタンプをパスポートに押して貰い、その後博物館・教会などを散策されてはと思います。スイスSargansからのバスで降車するバス停から徒歩１分ほどです。

Vaduz is a tiny capital city of less than 6,000 residents, so visitors shouldn't expect too much from the main square or main street. Still, it's very attractive, clean and neat. Nearby are shops and restaurants, the Postal Museum, visitor center and more.

This was a fun place to visit. As it turned out when we arrived it was a national holiday and they probably had ten or so bands along the pedestrian street in addition to street entertainers and some terrific food. We enjoyed the day here including food along the street while watching the bands.

When we take the bus from Fuchs to Vaduz, where does the bus drop you off. I think we want to go The Main Square. Thank you so much

Rhine Park Stadium is the place where buses stop there. Main square is about 1 km walk from this place.

No. You have to take the Train from Vienna to Feldkirch (Railjet) and then the Bus 1/2 hour to Vaduz.
