Very nice place in the old town of Nicosia that offers very big and create view both on the Cyprus and Turkish side. Entrance was only 5€. I would recommend to visit this place.

the observation deck is on 11th floor of the tower and is entirely indoors. however, the windows can be opened for photography
I was hoping to see the shape of walled city but that is not realistic since the buildings themselves are taller than the surrounding wall!
you can see Mount Pentadaktylos with the giant TRNC flags made out of stones from this tower.

Either sunny or cloudy, watch Nicosia and enjoy! From the 11th floor of the tower, you can see Nicosia from four different directions, learn from the buildings and the information delivered, enjoy the scenery and take awesome photos. I did have the chance to take numerous photos after the rain when the sky was stunning.
I think you should have a visit at your arrival in Nicosia to get a sense of the place. It gives you a totality of where you are and get oriented. I could even make a route on my own by the information I got there. Besides, the short video played in the booth was informative. Do not rush, take your time and see how the lovely Nicosia is divided into two!
PS 1. the entrance per person was 2.5 in November 2022.
PS 2. It might not be a big place for a group more than 20 persons (if there are other people).
PS 3. The lifts are fast and the sanitizers is available before the entrance to the observatory.

Si trova all'angolo con Ledra Street, l'entrata è in un palazzo a fianco della via principale, un ascensore porta all'undicesimo piano, da lì si sale a piedi ancora una rampa di scale.
Il biglietto d'ingresso costa 2,5 Euro, la vista spazia su Nicosia e sulle alture di Kyrenia, a 360 gradi, ci sono delle mappe direzionali che aiutano a capire dove sono le varie chiese, musei e altre attrazioni,
A mio parere vale la pena andarci anche per orientarsi poi meglio durante la visita della città.

The views from the tower do make the north south divide quite stark. It is well worth the trip up the tower and the small fee.

Non mi ricordo quanto si paghi, ma molto poco, A me è piaciuto tanto anche perchè ci sono schermi interattivi dove si possono vedere notizie e foto di ciò che vedi. La mia attenzione era stata verso il Ledra Palace
Il Ledra Palace Hotel si trova nel centro di Nicosia , Cipro , e fino al 1974 era uno degli hotel più grandi e glamour della capitale. [1] L'hotel è stato progettato dall'architetto ebreo tedesco Benjamin Günsberg ed è stato costruito tra il 1947 e il 1949 da Cyprus Hotels Limited al costo di circa £ 240.000 sterline cipriote su quella che allora era chiamata King Edward VII Street, dal 1962 Markos Drakos Avenue . L'hotel è stato inaugurato l'8 ottobre 1949 alla presenza del governatore britannico Sir Andrew Wright e del vice sindaco di Nicosia George Poulios. [2] Originariamente aveva 94 camere da letto e 150 letti, ufficialmente classificati come de luxe. [3] [4]Tutte le camere avevano acqua calda e fredda, riscaldamento centralizzato e telefono. Le strutture includevano una conferenza, lettura, bridge e sala da ballo con orchestra. C'erano due ristoranti, due bar e una caffetteria. All'interno del giardino c'era una piscina (installata nel 1964), una vasca per bambini, un parco giochi per bambini e campi da tennis. In seguito all'annuncio della tregua è rientrato nei confini della Zona cuscinetto delle Nazioni Unite e dal 1974 al 2019 ha servito come quartier generale del Settore 2 del Reggimento di Roulement delle Nazioni Unite (URR) parte dell'UNFICYP . [7] [8] Un gruppo di revisione strategica del 2017 del quartier generale delle Nazioni Unite ha rilevato che a causa di misure sanitarie e di sicurezza obsolete, i piani superiori dell'edificio avrebbero dovuto essere lasciati liberi dalle forze delle Nazioni Unite. Una nuova posizione di fronte all'hotel, denominata Wolseley Barracks, è stata scelta come nuovo quartier generale del settore 2. Ha una capacità di 151 soldati e 24 ufficiali ed è stata inaugurata nel 2019. [9]
Il Ledra Palace Hotel ha ospitato molti incontri di alto livello tra leader greco-ciprioti e turco-ciprioti , [10] così come centinaia di seminari strutturati sulla risoluzione dei conflitti tra i costruttori di pace greco-ciprioti e turco-ciprioti [11] [12] [13] supportati e facilitato sia da organizzazioni internazionali (es. Fulbright , Institute of Multi-track Diplomacy, United States Agency for International Development) e pionieri locali (ad esempio, Cyprus Conflict Resolution Trainers Group). Viene utilizzato anche come sede di eventi culturali volti ad avvicinare le due comunità e di incontri di interesse generale. [14]
Dal 2004 è sede di un punto di attraversamento designato della Linea Verde che separa le aree controllate dalla Repubblica di Cipro dalla Repubblica Turca de facto di Cipro del Nord .
SIAMO ANDATI CON TANTO SOLE E CALDO E ABBIAMO VISTO CHE E' STATA FATTA UN'ALTRA ALA PER I SOLDATI. CI SONO 200 METRI DI BUFFER ZONE DOVE SI POTEVANO VEDERE PERSONE CHE TAGLIAVANO ARBUSTI IN QUESTA CONCA DI NESSUNO!!!!

Panorama à 360 degrés sur la ville du 11eme étage d’une tour en plein milieu de la ville. Les panneaux explicatifs ne sont pas à jour mais monter pour la vue suffit.

I was hesitant to pay the EUR 2.50 for admission to what seemed to be a very small room. It was worth it. The views are great on all four sides. The windows were very clean meaning I could take nice clear pictures. The video is a nice 10-minute introduction to Nicosia's history.

I highly recommend going up for the uninterrupted, expansive scenic views of Nicosia. There are interactive pictures of important buildings/areas you see from each window. I also really enjoyed the short video offering a summarized history of the city.

It’s an observation tower on the 11th floor. Gives a good view over Nicosia with boards pointing out buildings of interest. Also a good video about the history of Nicosia. View is not spectacular as you can’t really see any of the city walls and the Turkish part isn’t obvious. Nevertheless worth visiting.

Ciao, I think it isn’t possible as the ticket Office si very small and not very “modern”.
According to my experience the place is not very well known and the visitors aren’t very numerous.
In any case worth going!
