Nice place to visit, it was peaceful and we enjoyed learning about Cypriot history. The entrance was €2 each which is excellent value for money

This is a lovely visit the museum, church and cave parts (in that order of impressiveness) are all worth the visit. It is on tour bus routes so you might have 40-50 guided tourists to deal with per coach but I suspect if you go early or late in the day you'll miss these
Be warned the google route to the Adonis falls (also a terrible tourist trap don't go) from here goes along a road which has a sign saying "road accessible for all cars". This might be technically true but is definately inadvisable - our VW UP really didn't want to be on it at all and almost suffered damage
It's 2 hour max stop if you love this kind of thing

Beautiful spot. Very serene. Lovely gardens. The cave sanctuary, church and museum are all very good.
Stunning medieval icons.
It was very peaceful apart from one tour group who passed through quickly.
Well worth a visit.
Points to note.
You can get the 604 bus from Karvala bus stop or the 604 actually also stops at the market place stop ( where the bus from the harbour comes in)
The toilets and cafe are outside the monastery but you can go back in.
The cafe is closed on Monday and the shop only sells water and basic snacks ( although the salted are cashews were excellent).
The museum closes between 1-2pm
Definitely get the 5 Euro guide book as the signage is limited. The admission is very cheap ( 2 Euros).

Beautiful place, took a long time to reach it but worth it. The murals and mosaics are stunning. Amazing views. So peaceful.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Paphos or nearby area. Beautiful peaceful palazzo leads to a church. Surprisingly warm. Incredible paintings on the walls and ceilings. Particularly struck by Jesus in the boat and the flight to Egypt. Cave church and monks cell both worth seeing (2euro per person). The paintings are arresting and vivid. Museum also worth a look round. Great to see monks still working around the site.

Such a lovely place to visit, very tranquil! The museum was cool to look around!
You can also go into the church however I made the mistake of going in shorts and a tank top so had to wear a dress to cover up that they have at the entrance, my bad!

A wonderfully peaceful trip to visit the monastery. To visit the church carved out of the rocks and frescos and the museum will only cost you €2! Beware they only accept cash but if you buy something from the gift shop they will accept the receipt.
The church which is currently in use is stunning and you can light a candle. The museum is definitely worth a look. Outside of the monastery is a cafe which serves reasonably priced food and drink.

If a couple of hours in a tranquil landscape is your thing, this is for you. Don't expect a lot from the museum. It is a collection of artefacts but not much information about the history at all, unless you buy the €5 book. The garden area, though, is beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil and made it worth the visit.

Very quiet and lovely to see the church, also museum was interesting with the tomb the other side of the area, in the tomb was paintings that was 850 urars old I think, truly magical to see them, a very special place to visit, outside the gates to the monestry there is a cafe that we sat and had a cake and a drink, reasonable price and friendly staff

2 Euros per adult, kids are free. Women, Wear long pants and sleeved clothing or you will not be permitted into the church!

hour 50 is plenty i'd say incl café time. the old cave church is v small. the monastery church & museum are not big and even taking your time 110 mins is easily doable.

I am not sure that you can . It’s a Greek Orthodox Monastery . Having said that , you can get married in Orthodox churches here .
I used to be part of the Anglican Church wedding Ministry here and I did not do a wedding there .
If you look at Anglican Church Paphos wed page , it shows the venues where you can have a Church Wedding .
Paphos is a great location to get married .

What was the road to the monastry like - was it bitumen throughout, broas and steel fenced ? We had a bad experience on the way to Adonis Falls, the rooad was rubble with steep unfenced precipice type drops to the valley.
