Lured by the glossy brochure in our hotel, we rode all the way to the end of the streetcar line to visit this museum. What did we find? The gates were chained. There was no information about hours, days, weeks, or months when they might be open, either on the brochure, the gate, their Facebook page, or their web site. Shame on us.

According to my infos the Museum opens two times a year.One is at The Night of Museum at beginning of October and the other time is at Herbstfest(the end of season for riding of oldtimer trams).I was there at Herbstfest.It was an amazing event.The Museum rebuilt an old tramway TW93 + 111b and it was operating that day together with a few other oldtimers in Graz.In the museum hall I saw such a great and old tramways.Museum organized the tour around it.Also a model railways and lego toys of tram and bus models were exhibited.I could spend a whole day there.Would recommend to everyone who would be in opening time in Graz.

Музей трамваев в Граце уже практически прекратил свою деятельность. Фактически он открыт лишь несколько дней летом и на ночь музеев. Так в 2016 году посетить его можно лишь в один из семи дней. Зато старинные трамваи можно арендовать для дней рождения и других вечеринок. Так что - был музей, а стало коммерческое предприятие.

I have to agree with Jmar880, Bolton I asked at the tourist information centre when it opens but it's hard ever open. I just would like to ask Graz to get their finger out and make
this into something worth seeing as you can see we are only few in number at this time be we will be back to see a fully functioning Transport Museum.Come on Graz you can do it!!!

I have an interest in transport and so I decided to visit this attraction. It is easy to find as it is at the terminus of Tram No1. I went on a Saturday morning and on arriving I found that it was closed. I walked round the building to see if I could find a way in but no success. I could see a few exhibits over the fence and took photographs which I have put on this review. You have now seen everything that I saw of this museum.
I asked the tram driver when it was open and he said hardly ever. It appears to be open about one day a month.
