Die Grotte war beeindruckend, die Führung sehr gut. Die Zeit ist im Nu vergangen. Man könnte länger im Berg bleiben, vor allem bei so einer Hitze draussen. Es war ein wundervoller Ausflug

Very interesting experience, the caves were beautiful. Although the tour was conducted in German, there was a lovely tour guide who tried his best to translate things into English which made the experience much better. Would 100% recommend going!

The tour we had was truly a great experience. Not only is the cave marvelous and most certainly worth a visit, but our tour guid was very pleasant and friendly! We were also lucky that it was just the two of us on the tour and that the guid spoke English.

This review essentially concerns the adventure tour:
As a native, you have "been" in the Lurgrotte at least several times.
But this time you treat yourself to the adventure tour, the special program.
And it doesn't promise too much, you can find countless videos on the relevant portals.
Guided and always supported by our two fantastic guides, there were climbing tours, sleeping places, abseiling, and finally the water tours back to daylight.
All equipment is provided, but it is advisable to take a snack with you, as after about ⅔ of the time you will have a short break at the turning point - right on the municipal border with Semriach. But you can find enough information about the process on the association's website.
As a large group, we needed a stress-free 6 ½ hours for the tour.
Overall, highly recommended with 5 stars for all adventure seekers who want to have a great day. But the tickets for the season are snapped up quickly. And rightly so!

I was lucky enough to be able to take part in an adventure tour on February 3, 2024.
The excitement was great, you (woman) had already prepared yourself with videos on YouTube. But when you experience it up close, everything is different, much more exciting, more adventurous, simply better.
Thanks to the excellent guides, all the climbing sections and the abseiling were mastered well and, above all, safely. My knees were still shaking quite a bit at times.
Swimming through the lake and wading through the river in the cold water were also managed well.
It was a very special experience that I would not want to miss.
I will be able to tell my grandchildren about it.
Thank you very much for this day!

The Lurgrotte including the guided tour was very interesting and the group size was very pleasant.
It wasn't quite as interesting for our son (4.5 years old), but that definitely depends on the child. Our daughter (1 year old) was in the grotto in a backpack and was more interested - she didn't have to go herself ;)
...however, it should be noted that the backpack was very difficult, as there were several passages up to 20-30 meters where you had to bend down. We managed it well, but it was a bit distracting and you could feel it in your thighs.
We were also able to see the first bats in the grotto, which come into the cave to hibernate.

The grotto is a great summer tip on hot days, but also a hit in winter because the temperature is a constant 10 degrees!!
The many beautiful stalactites and stalactites are magnificent! We were also impressed by the guide, who made the tour very interesting, fun and entertaining!!
We can recommend this excursion destination with a clear conscience!!!

This is in fact the part where the cave river exits. It is more likely that the river is running and not dried up compared to the upper part by Semriach. The trail along the river is pretty neat, the stalactites in the middle are great, particularly since there are tons of them on the ceiling.
Unfortunately photography is permitted only in selected spots, but those spots are really great
This was measure was introduced when some folks were staring solely through their phones and neglecting the trail, tripping and injuring themselves and then complaining.

Ein einmaliges und sagenhaftes Ergebnis, sehr freundliches Personal und eine top Höhlenführung. Luftfeuchtigkeit bei 95% und konstant 10 Grad sorgen nach der Führung für einen Flash beim verlassen der Höhle. Auch die 2 angegliederten Museum sind liebevoll und informativ eingerichtet.
