虽然是被音乐之声种草而来，但古城本身的历史感很强。莫扎特无疑是头号IP，从咖啡馆到巧克力都能看到他的身影，甚至有莫扎特的电视频道持续播古典音乐会。有很多本地的咖啡馆，甜品屋适合坐下来体会当地人的恬静生活。

莫扎特出生地就在著名的粮食胡同，那些个老建筑保存的很好，这点我对欧洲看法很好，我们国家开发商折了多少历史遗迹，可欧洲的都会保留、修复下来。现在一家家名品店铺，一家家餐厅、咖啡馆开在那，去了真是让人舒服。

萨尔茨堡市不是一个大城市，所以只要在老城走一走就能看到很多东西。在街上闲逛、观光和购物是很愉快的。如果你要去参观堡垒和大教堂，也要花些时间来体验一下这个地区。

参观过维也纳后，我对萨尔茨堡如此之小感到震惊。非常漂亮，老城区风景完美，狭窄的街道，宽敞的广场，但不要期待一整天在这里进行满满的活动。

萨尔茨堡的古镇是一定要去参观的地方。它太漂亮了！美丽的建筑，隐秘的迷人广场，以及广场周围的市场和咖啡厅。那有很多商店。它是整个城市最美丽动人的地方，如果你参观萨尔茨堡，这个地方必须去。

作为萨尔茨堡的旅游者，你绝对不能错过萨尔斯堡古镇——风景如画，历史悠久。这真是一个迷人的地方。所有的建筑都保存的很好，你甚至可能会忘记它们大部分已经是真正的老建筑了（例如，一些4层建筑中的一小部分像粘在一个非常陡峭的斜坡上，漂亮的油漆，翻新后看起来几乎像现代的建筑，但其中一个是1409年的建筑）。星期天早上，我有幸漫步在狭窄的街道上——大多数商店都关门了，游客也不多;棕枝主日——人们带着绿色植物和鲜花，气氛更加宜人。

我们以前去过几次Salzburger Altstadt（萨尔茨堡阿尔茨塔特），但这次我们没有什么特别的“必须做的事”，所以我们就在这个地区逛了几个小时。逛商店橱窗，看看卖复活节花的漂亮摊位，真是有趣。我们还在这次参观中第一次看到了从“音乐之声”的逃跑场景中复制出来的墓地。这里有太多的东西要看，你真的不需要一个已经安排好的计划！

这是一个保存完好的古镇，被联合国教科文组织列入名单。最吸引人的地方可能是莫扎特的出生地。有漂亮的中世纪教堂、塔楼、住宅和鹅卵石街道。很多不错的商店，感觉会给你带来财务上的麻烦。我最喜欢的地方是Mozartplatz，那里有很棒的餐厅和户外座位。镇上有许多旅行团。老城区紧挨着一条美丽的河。萨尔茨堡本身就是个美丽的城市。我很享受在这儿的时光。

If you want to visit an authentic, not so touristy Salzburg Café, try Café Wernbacher. This is where Salzburger are hanging out. In the same street there is Fingerlos. They have the best cakes, but it is not that comfortable to hang out for a longer time. Nevertheless I would recommend it for the "real" experience. I should know, as I'm from Salzburg :) We actually avoid Fürst and other Cafés in the old town, because they all are tourist traps. The service is mostly bad there.

There is an excellent, modern car parking right underneath the Altstadt. It's spacious, light and airy and feels safe. Parking spots are wide and with enough space around it.
You take the elevator and you are at 100m from the carfree old town.
It doesn't come cheap but if it's just for a day's visit I think the price is absolutely worth the convenience.

Hi
Hope you can help! We plan to make a short stop to Salzburg after visiting Vienna and before visiting Munich. Comparing the Hellbrunn Castle ver the Fortress Hohensalzburg, which one is the one that we should not miss? I’m not sure that we can fit them both in the trip.

Aloha, we looked at the going to the Castle, but it was away from old town with its cathedral, cemetery, and other sights. So we stayed, took to the tram to the top of the Fortress, ate, enjoyed the wonderful view of Salzburg, and had a marvelous time. But if we were staying longer, the Castle would have been next on our agenda. It was further away from old town, but you can take the city bus to get around, too. Aloha

What time are most shops here open and close? Is it a good idea to go at night (after 6:00?)

Shops close at normal European times, and close at 5pm, 6pm at the most. There's no siesta here like in the South of Europe (like Spain) where shops close between 2 and 6pm and open again untill 9 or 10pm.
Only restaurants are open later, but even they usually close their kitchen at 10pm (except for maybe pizzeria's), so if you get in late they may not be able to serve you even though earlier customers have not recieved their meal yet.

Hi, We are travelling to Austria over December, planning to visit Salzburg - are there any attractions that we should avoid during winter, that are perhaps closed due to winter weather? Or any recommendations for a must do during snowy days?

I have not been to Austria in the winter, but for a great venue for a few hours, especially if you are travelling with children, the Haus der Natur is well worth it. Incorporates a little aquarium, reptile section, fantastic hands-on Science exhibits and more. Worth considering the Salzburg Card, which covers your transport and gives free admission to many worthwhile attractions. Left Salzburg 2 days ago-already missing it!

Não, a cidade é muito segura e iluminada. Se for final de semana a região ainda vai estar movimentada.
Claro que se tiver a opção de pegar um transfer do hotel ou um taxi é válido. Estando em outro país a gente nunca sabe de fato como são as coisas...
