Perhaps slightly less in fame and talents than the more famous "sister" Philharmoniker the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, which if not on tour you will find on a permanent basis in the Great Hall of the Konzerthaus in Vienna, was for me an exceptional discovery.
To pass a really good New Year's Eve I gave my Family their New Year's Eve Gala.
What can I say: everything as per the script and impeccable executions.
It begins with part of the orchestra together with Nikolaus Habjan who masterfully "whistles" various arias by Mozart, Beethoven and others and also entertains the audience, assisted in some points by Anna Lucia Richter and Ines Schüttengruber, and then continues at the stroke of midnight with a much more nourished ensemble, under the direction of Petr Popelka.
Ensemble that opens beautifully the New Year, and the celebrations of the bicentennial of Johann Strauss (son), precisely with the classic "On the beautiful blue Danube" (An der schönen blauen Donau).
Truly unforgettable moments in a room full of people who love music and who, with a lot of Teutonic composure, celebrate in this way the arrival of 2025.
Organization without flaws, extremely clean rooms, really good acoustics and friendly and always helpful staff.
I have seen that many would make false cards to attend the concert of the most famous Philharmoniker and, I do not deny it, I too would have liked to be able for once to be in the front row to applaud Muti and company beautiful, but I can not be more than satisfied with my choice and recognize this orchestra a great talent and a truly apt execution of the various arias and music proposed.
Pop singer Ankathie Koi and rapper Def Ill also appear during the performance.
Nothing transcendental and our unfamiliarity with German make it practically useless to listen to their speeches and their jokes, but the audience present can see that they like it enough.
In the end, however, a great show and a truly original way to celebrate New Year's Eve without spending the night on the various streets of Vienna at polar temperatures.
Really good however the various musicians and the conductor that I appreciated so much.

Die Wiener Symphoniker treten an verschiedenen Orten auf. Ich war an einem Abend im Dezember im Musikverein, wo Werke von Liszt und Bartók gegeben wurden. Sehr eindrucksvolles Orchester, geleitet von Kent Nagano - ein wundervolles Musikerlebnis.

The Vienna Symphony orchestra is in residence at the beautiful Wiener Konzerthaus which is the best venue to attend its performance. The performance is spellbinding as over fifty musicians perform as one and take you through the highs and lows of a piece.
A must do for lovers of classical music.

Венский Симфонический оркестр выступает, как правило, в Большом Зале Концертхауса (Лотрингерштрассе 20). В программе, в основном, симфоническая музыка, на мой взгляд, даже более сложная для восприятия чем Моцарт, Бетховен или, тем более, Штраус. Билеты можно приобрести как в интернете, так и в билетных кассах города или Концертхауса.

На этом сайте адрес достопримечательности указан как Легаргассе 11. Это действительно адрес Венского Симфонического, но адрес, если так можно выразиться, юридический. Концерты же оркестр дает в Музикферайн и Концертхаус (оба здания в районе Шварценбергплатц). Ну, еще с некоторых пор в соседнем Театер ан дер Виен, но, как я понял, довольно редко. В программе, как несложно догадаться из названия, симфонические произведения.

Tolles Ambiente, hervorragender Klang, herrliche Musik. Musik gehört zu Wien. Das sollte man als Wienreisender gesehen und gehört haben. Der Kartenvorverkauf funktioniert einfach per Internet.

Wonderful - an amazing production of Beethoven's Ninth in a gorgeous hall with world-class performers. Conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado and with fabulous soloists and choir. And much more affordable than a similar caliber and venue in the States. Easy to purchase tickets online and pick up there. Highly recommend!

Å reise til Wien er i seg selv en opplevelse. Du må ha god tid.Vi var så heldig å få være med på en ekte
konsert (lik nyttårskonserten) i Wieneropera med Wienersymphonikerne. Det var en opplevelse.
For å komme rundt i Wien for å se på flotte byggverk så anbefales å ta trikken. Den går hele tiden
og er lett finne. Et unikt system.
