Do NOT confuse the great hall of the Musikverein with the Vienna Philharmonic. The Musikverein is a concert hall building, but it is NOT the headquarters of the Vienna Philharmonic, nor does it belong to you, no matter how much New Year concert is done there. It's not home to any orchestra. The Vienna Philharmonic is also the orchestra of the Vienna Staatsoper (yes, the template gives for two orchestras). There are many other venues in Vienna, such as the nearby Konzerthaus, where the Christmas concert is held, but it is not broadcast or so famous.

Instead of an orchestra, 15 instruments came onto the stage, for the first time in my life I saw an orchestra without a conductor, they came out in some rumpled, unkempt black clothes, the chairs in the hall were like in an assembly hall, a school hall, the stage was like this, there are no words, in what a terrible state . The whole impression of visiting Vienna was spoiled by visiting this concert on the last day

Nice place, however, while the seats we booked were very good, the acoustics were not so good. We only heard the orchestra and not the choirs at all... shame!

I experienced a concert in the Musikverein (located near Karlsplatz). Orchestra is fantastic as well as the location. Program is intended for classic music estimators. Tickets are available online and divided into categories from 1 to 10: 10 means standing places for 5 € (ok if you want to enjoy for a little time), 9 means sitting places behind the organ so you don't see the orchestra, from 8 to 6 you see the orchestra partially, from 5 to 1 you have a quite complete view. The concert lasted 2 hours.

Die Wiener Philhamoniker sind im Musikverein untergebracht - und immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Bei meinem jetzigen Besuch war leider nichts im Programm, aber im November wird es wieder Konzerte geben - ich habe schon mal gebucht.

さすが音楽の都、ウィーンフィルの本拠地です。中に入ることはできませんでしたが、夜のライトアップされた姿は、この世のものとは思えない様な美しさでした。こんな素晴らしい建物の中で聴くコンサートはさぞ素晴らしいものだろうと想像しました。
