Despite the hype you can't actually get to the top and look down the slope as a skier would do. The view is good but not spectacular, still worth a look if your in the area

You can see the two ski jumps from miles away but firstly, I’d recommend following the signs in town and not your sat nav as ours kept misdirecting us and we turned her off after two wrong turns!
Once there, there is a parking fee for the car park but no fee if you just walk in. There’s also no fee to walk to the top of the ramps and back and to wander around and take a look but it is a long way up and there is a chair lift for a small fee which is a much easier way to get to the top.
We were lucky and there were people training on the smaller ramp the morning we visited and it was particularly exciting to be able to stand alongside the ramp, see and hear them coming and then watching them fly through the air at close quarters.
Even if the ski jumpers aren’t there, the views from the top are fantastic. Well worth a visit and I’d recommend the fee for the chair lift!

Leuk om te zien dat er echt gesprongen wordt.
Met de stoeltjeslift naar boven is een leuke ervaring en de prijs viel mee.
Prachtig mooi uitzicht over Lillehammer vanaf boven.
Een atraktie voor jong en oud.

It's impressive to see a ski jump ramp from up close. And then you can also walk 936 steps up. Let me tell you that this is a big challenge, you will break some sweat. If you are not that fit. Take the chair lift up. That is something you can do for 6 to 7 euro.
But once you are all the way up. You get a beautiful view over Lillehammer. And see from how high the athletes had to jump. If you want more of walking after reaching the top. There are several hiking paths you can choose to follow.

I went to the ski jump venue, Opening Ceremonies location for the ‘94 Olympic Games. It was very cool to se the torch holder and overview of the whole town! I walked the 936 steps up and it was worth it.
There was a young women ski jumping, so that was impressive to watch.
It took about 30 mins to walk from downtown Lillehammer.

1994年リレハンメル五輪の舞台になったジャンプ台です。リフトもあって観光客も乗ることができたようですが、横の階段からだと無料で上れるので、階段をひたすら上っていきました。上の方まで行くと、下からは想像できないくらい良い景色が見られるようになるので、ぜひ上ってみてください。
訪問時は、ちょうどサマージャンプの選手たちが練習をしていました。観光客のルートと交錯することはもちろんないのですが、かなり間近で見ることができて、本当に迫力満点でした。

You can get here on foor (expect a good climb, around 20 min from the village center) or by car. Parking is not free
Nice to see the slope and experience the view of the athletes.

Hi! Is it closed now (October)? Website only shows opening hours until August... I would like to use the chairlift.

Bus Line Nr. 6 till the driver tells you to step out. Then 1.2km to walk on moderate level. Otherwise you walk from city center along the river to the top.
