Easily accessible by car as an excursion destination. In the last tunnel you have to wait for oncoming traffic in stop bays, so drive through carefully. The lighthouse is then interesting to look at and the cafe is also worth a visit. Unfortunately, the lighthouse is not open all the time and you only enter at certain intervals. Nevertheless a nice and popular excursion destination.

Picturesque spot. We enjoyed climbing around on the rocks on the shore and taking in the view. Unfortunately, the lighthouse and the shop/restaurant were closed for an event. Very windy.

Visited here on a cruise shore excursion whilst in Alesund, we traveled by coach taking tunnels & bridges to travel on 4 islands to get to the lighthouse. This lighthouse was open and I got to walk up to the top and out onto the platform in front of the main windows of the lighthouse.
I recommend going up but the steps are short & steep so good footwear is advised. There is a small metal spiral staircase at the end and this has no hand rails or rope.
The views from up top are amazing you can see the local bay and out to some of the island we had driven across to get there as well as the open sea.
There is a small cafe, art gallery & gift shop in a separate building nearby.

The tour to Alnes lighthouse in Alesund, Norway was exciting and memorable. When we arrived in Alnes lighthouse other tourists were heading back telling my friends and I that the lighthouse was closed. The view from the ground was amazing but I really wanted to get to the top of the lighthouse. When the tour guide caught up with us, he said get ready to go to the top of the lighthouse. I was perplexed how can the tour guide have access to the lighthouse. I found out the tour guide made an appointment with the caretaker of the lighthouse. The stairs going up was challenging and I had to navigate a narrow section of the stairs. But once on the top, the view was clear and relaxing. Priceless. One of my favorite tour spot in Alesund. Mount Aksla was the best.

Nice to climb the lighthouse and enjoy the view. It was quite chilly when we were there, so it was good to bring a cardigan or jacket.

A beautiful location with a nice nearby beach. The journey is also interesting and its nice to get away from the cruise ship crowds.

Was a very cozy place when we were there. Waffle day and souvenir from the lighthouse. Tour on order at a fixed time. Parking right next door for those who couldn't walk that far.

Ein kleiner mit Kunstausstellung in den jeweiligen Etagen zu besichtigender Leuchtturm,der Aufsteig ist über Holzstufen und die "letzten Rundungen"über eine Metallwendeltreppe erreichbar allerdings ist zu schreiben der Ausblick entschädigt die Mühe und bei gegenseitiger Rücksichtnahme sollte alles kein Hindernis darstellen.Denn die Plattform von welcher aus auf die Berge und den Fjord geschaut werden kann hat nun mal eine begrenzte Aufnahmemöglichkeit an Personen.
Es ist wohl einer der letzten in seinem Ursprung erhaltenen Leuchttürme und auch dieser kann wie so vieles in Norwegen kostenfrei besichtigt/besucht werden.
Es gibt ein Cafe in dem sich der Gast dann etwas stärken kann,das Cafe ist wenige Meter vom Leuchtturm entfernt und wird praktisch passiert wer auf den kleinen Parkplatz ankommt.

This place was really good as we got the local buses to the place. Because it was in the winter it was essential for walking there to have clip on cleats. The actual lighthouse was fabulous to climb up to the top as the views were amazing. We had hot chocolate and some nibbles at the cafe close by. We even saw surfboard riders in the freezing waters.

I stedet for å reise rett inn til byen Ålesund, valgte vi en snartur mot Godøy. Der ble vi overrasket med åpen kafé med høye smørbrød og kunnskapsrik dame bak disken.
Nydelig å sitte inne og se på surfere forsøke seg i havet.

This is a question of price & time.
One can take a tour organised by the boat, a tour from the pier ( book on line ), or a private taxi - with / without guide.

Hi, as you know thats an island but no problem as you can go by car. There are one bridge and one underwater tunnel. In summer there were road works in tunnel so cars are led on specific times according timetable.

Bonjour, oui en effet il est possible de visiter le phare.
Mais à certaines heures seulement : renseignez-vous sur les horaires d'ouverture auprès du musée à coté du phare.
