Dropped in to find out what to do while spending an unplaned day on Floro. A very helpful and super enthusiastic young lady gave me loads of ideas on what to do and the info on boats and ferry trips etc. Ending up doing the trip out to see the Church on the island of Kinn (Chin) Was most enjoyable and Ferries super reasonably priced - would definetly recommed the boat tour and the others available and to visit this lady and hear all the info she has.
Much more entusiastic that most TI people you meet and local and knowledgeable too :-) Many thanks.

Meg og damen var på bryllupsreise til Florø og fikk helt super service av hun som jobbet i turistinfoen. Hun tipset oss om alt vi trengte å vite for å nyte en fullstappet og herlig dag. Den begynte med formiddagsbesøk på Kinnøya (hvor vi gikk tur og besøkte Kinnakyrkja), og forsatte med rundtur i Florø, og sluttet med herlig middag på Qulity og ølsmaking på Veslekinn. Kan absolutt anbefale å stikke innom og få noen gode tips til aktiviteter m.m.

Besøkte Florø og gikk inn for å få litt informasjon om tilbudene i distriktet. Ble møtt av en meget hyggelig og pr

I stopped in today without much of a plan. I’d read Florø was a good stop, but I found few details on why, so I drove there on a whim.
Enter the most helpful, knowledgeable, thoughtful, energetic, and smiliest young woman to ever staff a TI! She was very helpful, offering suggestions, and more suggestions, with alternative suggestions. Also on the best place to get coffee (I think she was right). The weather turned south (then snowy) so I didn’t do the island tour which sounded fun, but she did such a great job on highlighting the positives here, I’m thinking of re-routing my visit back.
Most TIs seem to be staffed with bored looking folks, who are annoyed you’re interrupting their boredom. This lady was honestly excited that you were in Florø and she wanted to make your stay memorable, which is why I say it’s the greatest TI on the planet!

Nous avons été accueillis par une charmante jeune femme qui s’est décarcassée pour nous trouver une activités avec des kayaks... malheureusement personne n’était dispo mais nous avons trouvé très sympathique de prendre son temps pour le faire... elle nous a proposé des ballades dans les hauteurs de Florø très belles et d’aller sur l’île de Kinn... c’était une très bonne idée surtout que le temps était de la parti et que nous étions seuls... merci pour vos conseillers

Very sweet and dedicated young woman manning the tourism office on the day of our visit mid August. The town is a bit sleepy and merits more visitors! But we had a nice hike up in the park and then to pet the goats on the little island near the museum.

Hi! Does Florø have an art gallery or any shops that feature local artists?
Hi! We don`t have any art gallery in Florø. On the Coast Museum there is an exhibition from a local artist, Britt Smelvær, running until 29. of september this year. You can also see some paintings on an island, Batalden, then you have to go there by a local public boat. Don`t hesitate to contact us again if you want more information!
