Lovely afternoon spent walking and sitting relaxing with family. We had lunch in the Boathouse which was reasonably priced, more chips than I could eat!
Parking £2 for four hours - not too bad we will return.

A greak walk with lovely views. A little train for the kids. A great cafe for refreshments with free toilets. Ice cream van only takes card

Lovely park in Wakefield where we take our grandson. Nice play area, walks and a miniature railway on some days. Good reasonably priced cafe on site .

Parking is reasonably priced, very clean, fairly quiet on the weekday we visited and drinks in the cafe are good value for money. Pushchair friendly walk and clean baby changing facilities. The staff were exceptionally friendly. We will definitely be back!

This is an amazing place to go to lots of friendly dogs and tons of space the river has a nice cooling feeling during the summer. Interesting play park made from wood and metal lots of swans and some bamboo sticks it is a long walk to get to the short grass but it is worth it 😄

Lovely Park, Great Views and Train!
This is a beautiful lake with a path that isn’t too muddy. Easily pram worthy.
The Mini Railway was a lively ride and, really enthusiastic staff (young lad) and at £2 very reasonable.
We were surprised though to find the most expensive an ice cream van in the Country! More expensive than Hyde Park!
Recommended Park! Lovely afternoon ! But don’t try to buy ice cream or you may leave bankrupt! We were lucky and aborted before the whippy was pulled.
£5 for a 99!! Not on your Nelly!

Too many dogs, loads off the leads that jump up and don’t listen to selfish owners. As a family with young kids this is no good. The uks dogdemic has ruined it for us. ☹️💩Not everyone loves dogs.

First visit for us but not for the local friends we met up with. Lovely big lake, popular with dog walkers and fitness fanatics as well as walkers and kids. Nice place to blow the cobwebs away. We had a coffee at the cafe. The building is a bit worn and could be spruced up but the coffee came with a smile and hit the spot.

My Partner and I. Went to Pugnies Lake this morning for our morning walk.only to find we now have Parking charges. I find this absolutley disgusting. When all the good People of Wakefield including Our Pensioners are now being Punished for trying to keep fit.I personally would like to get my hands on the greedy little low life RESPONSIBILE for this day light ROBBERY.I will be most certainly telling People.def not to go to Pugnies Lake. THE COUNCIL ARE IDIOTS.

It's a fairly pleasant walk around the lake - a play area for kids which is a nice extra. The parking is a money making scam. £1 for one hour (not quite long enough for most people) and £2.50 for four hours which is too long. Shame they can't let us go for a walk without paying. It's not remarkable enough to make payment.

Water sports/activities start in July and there’s a boat house on site where they deal with hire.
