Absolutely stunning cottage! We stayed in red robin 4 and we were not expecting the cottage to be as beautiful as it was! We loved the dog and human welcome packs, the cosy crackling fire was perfect for cold evenings, we had the most relaxing stay! The hot tub was a fab edition and we made full use of it morning and evening..we were welcomed on arrival..the site is immaculate..thank you for a delightful stay and we will return

Stayed in Red robin cottage 5, cottage was immaculate, far exceeded our expectations the pictures online do not do it justice. Excellent value for money, hot tub was brilliant especially in the snow! Stayed with husband, 4 year old and dog and we all had a great time.

Herons mead, I absolutely adored my week long stay.
I get very anxious visiting new places but any questions I had herons mead would always reply and I felt reassured.
When they say dog friendly, they mean it! Was even allowed on furniture (I put blankets down but they also steam clean after every guest departure) and loved the welcome pack for the dog!
Check in was quick, easy and simple, just what i needed after a long drive
I stayed in oak lodge 1 which is fully enclosed garden, it’s private and I felt very safe staying on my own on the site. I went for a week to try get away from fireworks for my elderly dog but unfortunately we heard some, luckily as the lodge is quite private with no one attached I could turn volume up with no complaint’s even with the big display at the race track a mile away
Lovely little welcome pack - had 2 bin bags, 3 dishwashing tablets, washing up liquid, sponge and cloth. They also provide tea-towel
The site is well lit up so if you need to do a late night walk with your pups!
Parking space for 2 cars per lodge, having luxury of parking was lovely
Tv in all rooms were smart tv (just remember to log out of your streaming service ) Each lodge has its own WiFi, I didn’t have great phone signal so was a nice touch
Veronica who came and did the housekeeping check in, couldn’t do enough for me, I asked if I could have a chopping board, 5 minutes later she was back with one.
The hot tub maintenance person was polite and friendly :)
Whilst I absolutely rate this site and lodge as 5 star, there was a few suggestions I would have loved to have
Full size fridge/ freezer, i didn’t want to eat out alone so I needed to do a week shop
Curtains or blinds on the doors, (just felt strange personally) even though no one could see in
Few kitchen accessories- like peeler, sieve/ strainer/ serving style dish but this was after thoughts.
All in all, I loved this site and considering booking again for next year.

Our absolute favourite place in the whole world. The site is so quiet and relaxing, and the facilities are spot on. Hot tub is always clean and ready for use upon arrival. The house is always immaculate and there’s a welcome pack for both humans and dogs. Will definitely be making an annual trip back to waterlily ❤️

Had a lovely week away after a stressful year it was needed ! Everyone was so friendly from booking in to booking out. Sammy who works in The Hide was fantastic friendly face knew our drinks as soon as we stepped in the building we had dietary needs nothing was too much for her and chef, the food was absolutely beautiful !! We had a giggle with her it was so relaxed. We was in Bloom lodge 1 clean and tidy above and beyond what we expected its our second stay at Herons mead and it wont be our last !! Hubby had a lovely relaxing time fishing cant wait to come back again see you soon

Booked a stay through Hoseasons. Stayed in a lovely 1 bedroom lodge that had all the comfort of home. Lovely little touches such as tea and coffee and 2 bottles of Prosecco. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with large shower. Comfortable sofa and kitchen fitted with a full size oven and hob, fridge and slimline dishwasher. The icing on the cake has to be the wonderful hot tub on the patio.

Everything was fantastic, couldn’t fault a thing! Location was great for wanting to take a trip to Skegness. The lodge was spotless, modern, and had everything you could possibly need. Amazing added extras such as the hot tub, 2 small bottles of Prosecco, a cleaning pack, shower essentials, robes, slippers.. just everything!! they have really thought about every tiny detail, the best long weekend we’ve had!

Wonderful 3 night stay in Red Robin Lodge.
Exceeded my expectations.
All the amenities you could ask for and more. Bath robes and sliders for use with the hot tub which was a nice touch. Also to find a little bag with dog treats and a ball was a lovely touch for our dog. As well as biscuits, tea and coffee, bag of sweets and two small bottles of prosecco.
Extremely spacious with bedrooms having their own en suite. Check in was an easy process and house keeping came to our lodge immediately to greet us and then checked on us the following day. Beds were comfy couldn’t have asked for any more. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Our 2nd stay in the red robin cottages, suits our family requirements with a small dog, the spacious living arrangements are perfect, clean and such a quiet site.
The hive is great fr breakfast friendly staff and good food we only stay for long weekends wish it was longer. already booked may and july for 2025.

We stayed in the Red Robin cottage,
Excellent accommodation, lovely and clean.
Had everything we needed.
Perfect break with the dog.
The Hide was excellent we had cake and coffee which was good. And we had the pie special on the Wednesday night which was absolutely 💯.
We definitely be coming again

Hi we are going to this lovely looking place at the end of August for our 25th wedding anniversary, can anyone tell me what size the carp go upto and best bait to use please and does the cafe do takeaway food as we are bringing our dog with us and wouldn’t want to leave him alone in the lodge many thanks .

Hi the fish are quite sizeable but with not fishing on our trip I’m not much use.
However the food at the Hive along with the staff are exceptional the wonderful thing about the Hive is it is dog friendly we ate there a couple of times and my four legged mate joined us enjoy your holiday because nothing is to much trouble on this fantastic site
