It was our first escape room. The demon barber one we did was a bit difficult for the first try. Staff were excellent explaining the hour to us and giving us hints to help us. It was really enjoyable but incredibly frustrating when we was 2 clues to finishing. It was explained to us where we had gone wrong and what we needed to have done. We would 100% recommend and we will be returning to try a different room. There is a lot of rooms to try, it is better with a big group, and there is something for everyone.

We did The Cabin and none of us had done an escape room before. And we beat the average time! It was so much fun, we all really enjoyed it. Absolutely would recommend and we definitely will all be back for more!

Me and my friends came for the sherlock room, my boyfriend and I have done escape rooms before but my other friend had never so we went for an easier room and we all really loved it! not too hard but there were definitely a couple bits that had us scratching our heads. was great fun and the staff were really friendly and the man who greeted us after the room seemed just as excited as we were which was really nice. my boyfriend and I have played the cabin here before and really liked that one as well. we will definitely be back!

Mixed bunch of older family and friends. We've done many escape rooms over the years and we all agreed this was one of the best. Good clues that are able to be worked on as a team in well decorated rooms. Young staff friendly and supportive. We'll definitely be trying further games at this venue.

This certainly got us puzzling but we got out - just!
We were given good instructions and the staff at Escape Colchester were helpful and encouraging.
We really enjoyed the challenge and plan to do more!

Completed 221B Baker Street at Escape Colchester with a friend. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the set up was good. Nathan clearly explained what we should expect before we entered room, allowing time for questions and reassuring us, Nathan was also on hand throughout. After our escape, we had a nice chat with Nathan and Luke, which was light and informative. We'd recommend Escape Colchester.

This was only our second experience of an escape room, so we chose the Sherlock Holmes experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and gave clear instructions prior to the game commencing. The room along with the puzzles was well thought out and challenging enough without being too difficult. A good family experience and we would certainly recommend it.

how much? what is the minimum time it takes? can a large group all get in? can we get discounts for large senior citizen group staying for short amount of time only?

HI Nicki , the cost varies from £20 each upto 4 players , then comes down to £16.50 a head for 6 or more , max of 6 players per room , we can take up to 24 players at one time split into 4 rooms . Not sure what you mean about only staying a short time , as the game sare an hour each .
