Visited with Grandchildren. Staff were excellent, especially the falconer who presented the flying display. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was brilliant! We took a picnic so cannot comment on the cafe or food. Had a great ride in the tractor. There were a few reasons I’ve not been able to give five stars. Top of the list is the miserable state of the toilets which are in portacabins in the car park. Really horrible. They need replacing. The central flying display field has a sad, green scummy pond and a few rocks. Surely the appearance of this could be improved to match the brilliant flying demonstration? It needn’t be a Disney landscape but a lot could be done. The children’s playground equipment was shabby but this did not affect the children’s enjoyment. The farm area with the goats next door definitely needs a tidy up and the pedal cars need replacing. Having said all this we will visit again to see the Birds of Prey close up.

Everything is a bit ramshackle, poorly thought through and poorly maintained. It's a shame because tye place actually has real potential but this is really not maximised. The toilets were an absolute disgrace!! Disgusting when we got there (10am when they opened) and throughout the day, clearly not checked or cleaned!
The maintenance around thr place is largely non existent and where attempts had been made it consisted of very bodgy, quick as possible repairs.
The Tea Room was nothing of the sort, when have you been to a tea room and had to drink out of paper cups?! The coffee was incipid. Later had Tea, tiny slice of cake and two ice cream cones- came to £13. The ice creams were £3.60 each and consisted of the tiniest scoop, if the kid behind the counter wasn't 16 (heard him talking about his GCSE results) I might have made a fuss.
The good bits of the day like holding an own and flying an owl (well having him hop from another kids hand to my kids and then immediately to the next) were kept far too brief and literally over in seconds.
The birds generally looked pretty unhappy to be there and all kept in very small enclosures that meant flying was near impossible. Not much of an existence. Various bits of play equipment were out of use with red and white tape around them- not surprising as generally they seemed to be of a very domestic type. The picnic benches are in a bad way, there's a fire engine but it has Out of Use written on it and assembly is not safe.
Signage- relatively non existent meaning it was difficult to know where the different activities would be or how to find them. The "tractor ride" was again incredibly brief, incredibly tame and consisted of those barrels on wheels being dragged in a very small flat circuit at about 3miles per hour.
Despite all this, the kids had a reasonably good time as there was plenty of space to run around in and as I say the place actually has bags of potential. It just needs to be better managed, it needs someone to take stock, step back make a plan for the improvements necessary and act. This could be a real destination worth returning to time and time again with the kids, instead we will not be going back.

Came here with parents , and my two year old niece . There was an amazing collection of birds of prey , just gorgeous . Niece absolutely loved seeing them and the other animals . Perfect for little ones . Cafe was nice with lovely selection of cakes. The girl working in the cafe was very pleasant.
The cons-
- Expensive entry for what it was .
- Very run down and dilapidated buildings.
- Waterlogged paths with no drainage .
- No clear signage of where activities were and where to go .
-kids play areas run down and in need of work . Lot of the toys in the toddler area, near the rabbits seemed to be broken.
-Lot of wobbly /almost broken fences surrounding the animals.
-Fair few empty cages , which they put plastic animals in them to compensate. Feeble attempt to give something to look .
-Toilets filthy
It was clear to see this place was on its knees and really struggling . Given it was a Saturday we visited , there was hardly any visitors . Practically had the place to ourselves . Felt very sorry and sad for the what little staff they had working there . I hope some investments and improvements are made, as the place has a lot of potential .
On the positive , my niece had a ball there seeing the animals and was very happy . That what was most important, then our adult observations .

I was gifted a 1 hour bird of prey experience at Christmas and was finally able to use it. I love Owls a lot and chose to see mostly them. I was thrilled to see so many beautiful birds and in such a peaceful setting.
Our falconer Jay was so welcoming and knowledgeable and I learnt a lot and loved his passion for these beautiful birds of prey.
To hold and fly birds of prey, especially owls was a dream come true! And being a wheelchair user I was pleased to see that efforts have been made to make the site accessible with level paths and some ramps into buildings. It would be really helpful to have a rubber wedge to get into the front entrance of the booking office, which is my only suggestion of improvement.
I can't wait to come back and will be recommending my friends to come and visit too.

This is the second time we have attended this location. The first was a half day with birds of prey back in 2021. This time we did an evening with eagles on 24th June 2023.
What can I say, it was amazing, actually flying a Bald Eagle was just stunning, McCoy did so well in the heat, bless him. The staff were very good at monitoring the birds in the heat and even said they were more important than us, which I totally agree with as a vegan and animal lover. Levi was an absolute star, he is a Chilean Blue Eagle and a real stunner, we met him in 2021 but this time got to handle him. The Eagle Owls were beautiful too and although not eagles obviously, they were involved in the show at the end of the evening.

We took six elderly people and paid £12.95 each the carers are free, so glad I didn't pay as its not worth the money. First thing, no shade or shelter . Why? Second thing. Very uneven ground and no paths. You wouldn't have been able to push someone in a wheelchair . It doesn't flow and no signs to show you the way round,why? We came across a very large male goat, he was in a dark stable. We were about to get nearer when a staff member walked by and said" I wouldn't go near him, he attacks people" was there a warning? No!!!! The birds. Very poor living conditions . Why? Sort it out. Not sure how you sleep at night. Awful place.

Loved this amazing half-day tour with Erin, who was entertaining & knowledgable as she introduced us to these amazing birds.
Its truly a privilege to be able to see, handle & interact with a variety of birds who are cared for by such a passionate team.

Prices way too steep for what is on offer, we only spent an hour there and left as it was run down and dirty. Play equipment requires to be put on a better surface unable to use due to the muddy conditions. Fire engine is a hazard and shouldn't be in use, clearly had pest activity and is dirty. Toy tractors the pedals were broken. Some animals in small cages and filthy. Given the overall conditions we dare not eat in the tea room and left. I am all for supporting local businesses, but this was just terrible and price does not reflect experience.

Myself and the children had a wonderful day here. It was the first time we visited. They were on an activity day and the guide (Robyn) allowed them to be so hands on with the animals. Great tea room too.

The falconry experience was amazing. It was run very professionally by Jake. It was fantastic to see and hold the awesome birds. I particularly like the owls and was delighted to be able to hold a number of them. The flying displays were spectacular, it was great. However the most amazing thing was holding the Bald Eagle, it was so majestic and powerful. A great day

My husband has a 3 hour falconry experience booked for Saturday 5/10 and I am a bit concerned on what I can do for those three hours? I was hoping to be able to take some photographs (I don’t expect to be very close) but the ticket clearly states no spectators...
