Langley Park has much to recommend it for a day in the countryside. The highlight in May should be Temple gardens with Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Last summer was not kind, and they suffered in the extreme heat. In a few of the wetter spots, and some tougher varieties have some flowers, but not on the scale of previous years. The azaleas in a community garden near me are looking much better, I wondered if they need to do more to improve the soil, so it retains more moisture.
Other parts of our visit were more rewarding - there are fine views to Windsor Castle on a clear day. It is a pleasant time to walk through the rides and woodland - down Verney's walk to the arboretum. The rhododendrons here looked much here happier, in what is a wetter soil. There were also several flowering trees - including a handkerchief tree. The maples also look lovely in late spring. The arboretum isn't large, but not to be missed. We then followed the tree trail through King's wood.
There are numerous picnic tables in a pleasant setting close to the parking area. Towards the end of our visit we stopped at the cafe - it had a good range to accommodate special diets include vegan and some gluten free cakes, herbal teas and plant milks. The cakes were homemade rather than bought in. We didn't have lunch there so can't comment on the meals. The cafe is called San Remo and is open daily till 6pm. There are also toilets adjacent to the cafe.

Saw some great work being carried out by volunteers at the park recently. The volunteers and a Ranger were carrying out work around the park, this included cutting back overgrown shrubs, pruning some of the trees and generally keeping the park looking nice for visitors and wildlife. Without the volunteers the Rangers would struggle to maintain and keep the park to the high standards we expect.

Langley park is located opposite Black park on the other side of the dual carriageway.
The park welcomes families and dog walkers.
A small park is situated near the cafe at the entrance.
Dogs can walk off lead if well behaved around the park.
If your dog is prone to jumping in water I recommend you keep them on the lead if walking near the pond. Swimming is not advised and there are often nesting birds in the water.
The park has plenty of open space for you to explore including woodland too.
There is also a beautiful pathway beside the cafe that takes you through a maze of flowers and trees up to a viewpoint of Windsor castle.
1 star is removed for me as my dog runs very far and wide when out on a walk and this park is a little more restrictive on dog space than black park I feel.

Great park, has a little cafe and a small park area for children, lovely mixture of woods and fields carry on walking past Langley Hotel and you come to a little lake. Cows are sometimes in main field so will have to put dog back on lead around that area.

Such a Beautiful area and well kept, the children really loved it and was able to explore and see all the flowers and have a run around before we headed home for a long car ride

This park covers a large area and it is worth considering coming more than once. The pay car park was very busy on the Sunday we were there and some cars were turned back. So come early. The footpaths are well kept and there is mostly flat so no hills to navigate.

Vast expanse of a park with a nice large up by the hotel. Beautiful flowers and gardens. Kids playground underwhelming but great for a picnic and great on a sunny day.

good for walking with out the attractions of black park more for adults to enjoy picnic etc ideal for dog walkers with open fields during the winter months no cattle

For goodness sake you must open toilets if the park is now open because otherwise disabled people and anyone for that matter who has a bladder and colon cannot visit. There is no reason why the toilet can't provide disinfectant for people to wipe down surfaces upon leaving and ensure there is always soap and paper to prevent covid spread and put a sign up to say flush after close toilet lid. You cannot expect visitors to dehydrate themselves to avoid needing a toilet..as a disabled person myself I may well have to find a secluded tree to pee behind if I am desperate and then we can't be called up on having to do this. Please sort this out now. Other places have toilets open so this needs to be done here.

Good afternoon, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Before opening the toilets we needed to ensure that we had correct signage to remind people of the guidelines and also put cleaning regimes in place to minimise the risk of infection, all of this takes some time to do. There are now limited toilet facilities available at Black Park and Langley Park but it is important to note that these are not the full facilities and capacity is limited, so please consider this when planning your visit. At present government guidance is to use public toilet facilities only where absolutely necessary. Hello, You are able to walk dogs anywhere in the park but there are some areas where dogs must be kept on leads. This is the Arboretum and Temple Gardens - please pay attention to onsite signage. Dogs should be kept under control at all times. Thanks. The Country Parks Team
