An expansive forested area with wide accessible paths and a lakeside cafe with large deck. A very easy walk which can be lengthened or shortened accordingly.
Beware the Ringo car park charges. It’s not cheap at £4.20 for 2 hours if paying by app as Ringo includes a 35p admin charge. Cash or card is £3.80 otherwise.
Be advised that it pays you to determine if you want a 2 or 4 hour session in advance, as if later you exercise your Ringo functionality to extend your time it doesn’t allow you to pay the difference between 2 hours and 4 hours (60p) but forces a minimum new 2 hour session upon you. So if you run over time and remotely extend you’re having to pay another £4.20 or ie £8.40 in total for parking when you could have purchased a 4 hour ticket at £4.80 from the outset. There is no warning on the boards or on the app about this hidden charging. An unacceptable money spinner that you are caught out by.

Black Park is a beautiful country park with great facilities and a well run Park Run. Not a must visit if you are coming from a long way but well worth coming if you are in the area.

Easy parking. Not too far to walk for small children around lake to play area and cafe. Dog had to understandably be kept on the lead.

Have been coming here for years and it never disappoints.
The little cafes are so worth coming to for a yummy snack or lunch.
I Love seeing random pinewood artefacts sometimes when filming is going on. Pinewood will sometimes use parts of the area to film but it is generally not too disruptive as the place us so large.
My dog is always off the lead here and going for a swim at the beach area.
Green area is perfect for a picnic or a little game of rounders with the family.
Endless woodland trails for you to get lost in.
Purchase an annual parking pass if you’re a frequent visitor to the car park.
Photos are from various seasons.

We visit here a lot with my daughters and grandchildren. Gorgeous place, clean and tidy, never too crowded and great food at the restaurant. Nothing not to like here.

Great lake, lovely cafe with reasonable priced food. The dog loved his doggie sausage for 50p!

Ample parking even on a busy day. Lovely, pretty park with walks around the lake and a great play ground for all ages. Lovely cafe with lots of seating overlooking the lake, like being on holiday ! Toilets at cafe (customers only) were well maintained.

I've been going to Black Park since I was a child, I'm now in my 50's with teens of my own. This beautiful place is not what it once was. I could write a long review of my experience today but suffice to say it was not a pleasant or relaxing experience as it once was. The cafe is overpriced, the staff are rude (Alex) and incompetent and the toilets filthy. The carpark is very expensive and the park itself is full of litter, including in the lake itself. It has become a cynical money making exercise when it is a public space. It's so sad, I've been rather put off going again.

I've been walking the trails of Colne Valley for years now that Black Park is part of. And no this forest/park is not known for black magic or any dark rituals so don't be put off by the name. Once you're deep in the woods, you'll know why it's called what its called. Some of the tall Pine trees are so dark grey that they almost look black hence the name.
You'll see wooden structures and other woodcarvings throughout the whole area as the Pine wood is the main product here. They've also given their name to the James Bond Pinewood Studios next door that are filming here regularly which makes it more of a commercial place. Also the weekends in good weather are noisy when every kid in the world Goes Ape and the their screams scare all the birds and wildlife away. But other than that, it's a lovely and peaceful area to get away from it all.

What do you all do with roof mounted bikes and the height restriction? Its a beautiful place to cycle but i don't know how I'd get in there.

Hi, the height barrier at Black Park car park is currently open, please do check before driving through as it may on occasion be closed for security reasons.

Hi, thanks for your enquiry, only organised groups with special permission, public liability insurance, risk assessments, qualifications are permitted to use the lake under special licence agreements.

Me and my friend are discussing the last time people were allowed to swim at black park lake I’m 43 and remember it as a child but can’t remember when it was stopped .

Hi, it was 2001. I too can remember swimming in Black Park Lake & breaking the ice on Boxing Day
Ironic boxing club in Harrow I'm thinking of running a summer camp in the school holidays could you please tell me if there is a canoe rental scheme or if I could take 20 children there for the day or half a day to do some canoeing I want to put this in my brochure for the boxing holiday camp appreciate any response please and if this is possible thank you very much bye.

there is a canoe club along the jubilee river but not at black park.
the canoe club is just before the main road that goes to eton just where the macdonalds is on the windsor road in slough. its near there
